"Please stay away from me…"
Jonathan took a couple steps away from the other. He wasn’t expecting to see him again so soon. Where did this headache come from? It’s not too bad, but it wasn’t there till Diego showed up. He’ll have to be cautious around the other. “Gift? You sound like my brother when he revived me…” Well, this was an alternate of Dio Brando. “It is not a gift when you find out what the end result of it all is going to be. Funny Valentine told me everything about Scary Monsters.”
░░░ ♘ ⇢ Standing still at his place, the blond quirked a brow and shrugged. A falsified expression of naivety graced his facial-features as he pretended to wonder what has he done wrong to deserve such impolite welcome. His confidence was wavered by the following remarks, be it for a split-second; the sudden mention of president Valentine threw him off guard but then again, if taking into consideration the multiple alternate universes it's not much of a surprise. The president of the U.S.A. from his home-world has mysteriously vanished a few years ago; disappeared as if the ground swallowed him up - not that it mattered much anymore. Using his sharp sense of smell, Diego sniffed the air and tried to locate nearby stalkers or possible threats but failed to track down any scent aside for Jonathan's -- people eavesdropping to the conversation or setting an ambush for him would be the last things he'd want to happen at the moment. " Everything ... ?" , his lips formed a mocking smile, amused by the thought that someone other than himself could understand perfectly how do ' Scary Monsters ' work. While whatever Funny Valentine has told Jonathan Joestar piqued the jockey's curiousity, he had no intention to boldly request from the infected to recite that conversation. " I guess it saves me the trouble of telling you that there is no cure, then ?" , he was lying through his teeth and probably spitted that crude comment only to see what kind of reaction will he squeeze out from the other - be it a sudden protest and mindless talk regarding the existence of a remedy for the infection, be it sparks of despair that will be reflected upon his eyes and attempt to deny fate ... whichever will occur, the sight will still be a worthwhile entertainment.
From Diego Brando's personal point of view - Jonathan Joestar was nothing more but a subject to his experiments like a laboratory rat. Judging by his looks and by how he realized that he was infected, the range-limit to it was unidentified although ... perhaps the bigger the distance is - the weaker and slower the transformation is. The dinosaur-form and the abilities that the person who carries the virus get depend on him and vary from one to another. But what interested Diego the most was ... how obedient is Jonathan? Outstretching one of his arms forward, the jockey-prince made a silent hand-gesture; demanding from the other to approach him closer and patch-up the gap between of them - just the same way you'd beckon a dog or an animal.
