Some more for TTK, specifically unique Taken designs. Call me crazy, but I always thought it was odd that the Taken existed for eons but the game never uses the giant moon-destroying raven emperor after the Taken have lost like 4 masters in 10 years
So the Steed is supposed to be an Ecumene member race, and I used a Seahorse to reference Bungies horse motif. I always imagine since the Ecumene are connected to the Darkness and the Steeds are their leaders, that the Steeds had a direct link to the Deep itself in some form.
The Bellow is very much based on Tubeworms. Since I wanted them to be the inhabitants of the Dakaua nest, I figured I’d go for a more unique take on a “nest”. Because of their design, I imagine as part of the Ecumene they may have had a link to the power of Darkness to connect minds together.
The Bishops are meant to be the Harmony, and i chose to base them on the Olm specifically to look like a wise old being. But also because it’s weird and I’ve never really seen a proper alien take on the Harmony. Also the staff is Ahamkara bone, if you couldn’t tell.
And the Archangels are Taishibethi ravens. Big, imposing, and a sort of take on corrupted angels of a sort with the wings and the flowing robes meant to be reminiscent of eastern depictions of deities. Maybe I’ll do a Tai Emperor Raven design some day.
The Raven Bridge of the Taishibethi but it looks like this
XXX. a golden amputation
'On the seventh pace, the Perfect Raven comes out of Oryx’s wound, and she spreads her wings across Taishibeth. Never again is a Taishibethi child born.'
Trying to figure out the style of the Taishibethi mural that I’m gonna draw :)
Inktober day 10: ashes, featuring the war priest and the Taishibethi fleet
On the second pace, the Tai unleash their battleplates and arsenal ships to fight our moons.
On the third pace, Oryx’s Warpriest meets them in battle, and he is victorious, he paints the void with fire, he salts the earth with ash.
Inktober day 14: flight, featuring the Tai Emperor Raven
“On the seventh pace, the Perfect Raven comes out of Oryx’s wound, and she spreads her wings across Taishibeth. Never again is a Taishibethi child born. She is perfect, she enacts the will of Oryx.”
Inktober day 11: bridge, featuring Mengoor and Cra’adug, and the Taishibethi.
Taken are hard to draw
On the fourth pace, Mengoor and Cra’adug, dyad knights, go to the Raven Bridge, and they stand on it and kill the Tai for ten years.
