“Downstairs” nicknames

Before Yana-san, her assistants, and editor K-san got used to the names of these characters, Grelle was known as “Shark”, Ronald as “Hamburgular”, and William as “Takaeda”. Even now, they might sometimes use these nicknames for them.

And yes, Takaeda is where the “T” comes from in William’s name. It’s not his actual middle name, but it led to “T” becoming the middle initial.

@krakenkat In response to your post, I did some searching through ye olde google, and I found this on some random post (was it in Amino? I don’t recall now.):

So, I tried some online reverse translation, and got this:

That fits better with the spelling “Takaeda” but doesn’t seem as specific to him. Therefore, William’s nickname seems to come from how his death scythe has a long reach.

Like I said in the notes on that post of yours, I’ve never heard before the theory that the K from Cedric K. Ros— comes from “Kama”, sickle/scythe... but I sure do like the idea.
