For the lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure. Proverbs 11:14 NIV The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15 NIV Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. Proverbs 13:10 NIV First of all, thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to experience "pamamanhikan". Thank you Lord for my Mame and Dade whi supported me and traveled with me and my love Nikki to officially have our parents meet face-to-face as a sign of respect. But oh boy! I never thought it would be this way. It turns out to be a super interesting phase of our life. So here it goes! The ultimate goal of our engagement is to have plenty of time planning ahead for our wedding. And we praise God for it went well according to His will and that enables us to start making our wedding plans together. But definitely we don't want to cause any disrespect to our families and relatives. That's for sure! However, when we laid down our plans in front of our families during "pamamanhikan", we got lots of interesting suggestions, concerns and facts. Specially when it comes to our desired time, venue and weather. Oops! And the discussion even heated up when we revealed that we already settled the downpayment on the place. Yikes! To a point where the relatives are asking why still continue making suggestions if all has already been planned and they obviously felt being bypassed. Sad. So here I am. Had my proverbs night marathon as I can't get back to sleep and I decided to call on my top advicer. God almighty! I felt like I needed more wisdom and could there be any better way than this?! Result: Get more advisers. Listen to their advices. Remove pride but only take Godly advice.
