Above all else, Sam is a family man. He has a strong bond with his parents and younger siblings. He still goes to their house for dinner at least once a week, and usually more than that.

While often berated for childish antics, Sam became an adult before most people his age. When the market crashed, he had to become the third parent at age 16 helping to take care of his siblings and working a part time job to keep the roof over their heads and food on the table.

As a result, Sam is incredibly frugal. He doesn’t buy name brand anything (except Nike shoes, because quality) and doesn’t go out incredibly often, encouraging hangouts at home - movie nights, cook outs, etc.

But Sam would give you the shirt off his back, or anything else you need.

School was Sam’s biggest struggle. Diagnosed with dyslexia when he was in grade school, everything just took longer. It was exhausting. Going to college was the last thing he wanted to do, but he knew being a teacher was what he was meant to be.

He loves kids, even the bratty teenagers he deals with on a daily basis.

Sam falls in love early and often, with a heart too big to keep to himself. He doesn’t know the meaning of a casual relationship. Wedding bells are typically already ringing in his head on the first date.

However, his one true love is and always will be Captain America.

If it’s considered a “geeky” interest, Sam is probably into it. But comic book superheroes take the cake.

He never misses a Tennessee Titans football game. Seeing them play on their home field is bucket list item for him.

Sam loves to burn candles. Kitchen scents (cookies, vanilla, etc) are his favorite.

body dysmorphia tw When he didn’t think his brain would get him anywhere, Sam’s focus went to his body. Maybe he could model, be an athlete, working in adult entertainment even crossed his mind. But any of that meant maintaining the perfect body. He knew people found him hot but it wasn’t enough. If he could pinch the fat between his fingers, it had to be fixed. Tight diets, extreme workouts, and overall obsession was the name of the game. A few of his friends staged something of an intervention, and it got better, but the issue has never been fully resolved.

Sam runs on the beach every morning. He claims it’s because the sand resistance is a good extra workout, and it is. But really, he just likes to watch the sunrise over the water.

Sam is a master sandcastle builder.

Sam is afraid of spiders. Those burn down the house when you see a spider memes? Big mood.

ROBERT “BOBBY” DRAKE — A.K.A ICEMAN — TAKEN!

“ Being grown up doesn't have to mean being endlessly morose and having fun isn't just fot five-year-olds. No, the day I can't laugh at how ridiculous this all is, while still loving every single second of it, is the day I walk away and find a new line of work. . ”

Bobby grew up in Fort Washington, Long Island, New York with his mother Madeline Drake and his father William. Growing up Bobby loved the beach and looked up to both of his parents. Being an imaginative boy Bobby was constantly lectured by his father on how dreamers never amounted to anything. Bobby was also looked down upon from his father whenever he cried due to pain or injury. When Bobby turned thirteen he began to feel cold all the time, an early manifestation of his mutant powers. Later when he swam in his family’s pool his powers manifested and froze the water around him. His parents quickly managed to figure out that their son was a mutant and told him to be careful since others would become fearful of his abilities.

Bobby secretly worked on his abilities learning quickly how to cover himself in ice and how to freeze moisture in the air.  This prompted him to declare that being a mutant was an awesome idea. In school Bobby started dating Judy Harmon earning the unwanted attention from a local bully Rocky Beasely. His date with Judy turned from fun to frightening when Rocky and his gang showed up. Fearing for his and Judy’s safety Bobby froze Rocky into a block of ice.  This prompted the gang and Judy to flee from the scene.  Devastated Bobby ran home and spilled everything to his parents. Soon the Sheriff showed up at Bobby’s home to take him into custody.

Believing he would get a fair trial Bobby surrendered to the police.  When the story made news it caught Professor Charles Xavier attention. He sent Cyclops to retrieve Bobby so he could invite him to attend the school. Once Cyclops arrived he broke into Bobby’s cell and offered to help him escape. Bobby refused wanting to go to court and clear his name.  Their disagreement caused the two of them to start a brawl. Their fight took them through the town attracting the attention of the townsfolk which formed a mob to attack Bobby and the two were caught. Before the mob could seriously harm them Professor Xavier used his telepathic ability to erase everyone’s memories of Bobby’s powers. He then extended the invitation to the school to Bobby whom accepted quickly.

When he first stepped foot on the grounds he iced himself happy that he could be his true self.  At the school he was given the codename Iceman.  Bobby grew and flourished in the mansion, eventually helping with recruitment of other mutants to the school.  While he doesn’t approve of the accords and strongly disagrees with the proposed mutant registration ultimately Bobby prefers not to fight when he can.  Yet if his friends or innocents are in danger he cares too much to let them be hurt.  Iceman will fight to defend them.

Abilities:

Thermokinesis: Iceman is a mutant with the superhuman ability to lower his external and internal body temperature, projecting intense coldness from his body.   This ability includes the ability to both cover his form with ice and convert it to organic ice.  Additionally he has the abilty to see beings due to the heat signature that others give off because of the absence of heat around him.

Cryokinesis: Iceman can generate, manipulate and fully control ice, snow and cold temperatures, he can use his mutant ability to control moisture such as to freeze any air moisture into super-hard ice. This ice can be formed into any object of his choosing

Special Skills: Bobby is a Certified Public Accountant, a skilled ice skater, and can speak Spanish fluently.

Braxtons biological mom was sixteen when she got pregnant with him, her original plan was to keep him but about halfway through her pregnancy she came to the realization that it just wouldn’t be a good life for him if she had so got set up with an adoption agency opting for a closed adoption, that’s all Braxton knows about his biological family.

It was through that agency that he was given to the Dias family, both Hugo and Maria Dias had been told that their chances of getting pregnant were slim to none so they opted for adoption. For the first two years of his life he was an only child, to everyones surprise though his mom had gotten pregnant unexpectedly and Braxton was about as excited as a 2-year-old could be to be a big brother and he adored his sister Gabriella from the start.

Growing up in a household literally filled with performers everyone really expected Braxton to turn out the same but unlike both his parents and later on his sister he hated anything to do with the spotlight, any time he was in front of more than 5 or so people as a kid he would absolutely freak out. He was just much happier watching from the audience or backstage.

He fell in love with reading at a young age, he would constantly ask to be read to as a toddler and when he learned to read himself he almost always had a book in his hands, he would even try and read at the dinner table and more often than not his parents would have to take the book away so he would actually eat instead of just reading.

He had a difficult time socializing as a kid (and even now to an extent), growing up switching between NY and LA he never really made an effort to make friends, he would get really nervous around people, especially people he didn’t know so he would just opt to not even try to make friends.

He did however have a seemingly natural connection to animals, it didn’t matter what kind of animal it was he was just naturally drawn to them and on more than one occasion they were drawn to him, despite his parents not allowing animals in the house they would let him put out food and water for them  if he happened to find a stray and almost every day without fail he would have one follow him home.

He consistently did really well in school, his grades really being his top priority throughout his life, he did dual enrollment in highschool and managed to get his undergraduate degree 3 years after highschool at UCDavis because of it.

With his love of animals it really came as no surprise to anyone who knew him that he wanted to become a Veterinarian, he was thrilled when he was accepted into the Veterinary program at the same university.

He really gained a lot more self confidence in the four years he was in that program for, a majority of the people around him by that point where a lot more like him and he hadn’t really realized before then just how out of place he felt in the world.

He still doesn’t like too much attention and he still struggles with meeting new people but he doesn’t actively avoid it anymore either. He can actually enjoy being around people other than his family now as opposed to four years ago when he wouldn’t even want to look at another person.

He wouldn’t have taken the job as the new Veterinarian at the clinic in Sanders Bay if it wasn’t for his sister, The beach could only sound so appealing when he had just spent the past 8 years of his life right near a beach but for those 8 years he had also spent them away from her and she had truthfully always been his best friend, even if she wasn’t gonna stick around in the town forever he wanted to at least be in the same timezone as her again. Plus all in all the town didn’t sound so bad.

The very first thing he did when he moved to his own place in Sanders was get himself a cat, he would have chosen a dog just for the simple fact that he loves to run and really wants to be able to run with a dog but he knew he wouldn’t be able to give a dog the time and attention they need so he got himself a cat instead.

He’s had a caffeine addiction since he was 13, he can’t function in the morning until he’s had at least two cups of coffee and he usually drinks an energy drink on the way to work and another one around lunch time, he knows how bad they are for him but he can’t bring himself to quit them.

As he’s gotten older he’s started to wonder more and more about what his biological parents are like, he wants to ask his parents for help in finding them but he’s afraid it’ll hurt their feelings so he tries his best to just not focus too much on it.

As much as he loves treating cats and dogs his favorite animal to treat at the clinic is by far birds, he only sees one or two on a regular basis but the way they act never fails to make him laugh.

depression tw has dealt with anxiety/depression and body issues for as long as she can remember, some therapists have pointed out how it started around when her dad left and marley chooses to bottle up that fun fact and put it on a high shelf.

eating disorder tw started skipping meals/over exerting herself in high school but luckily was caught before suffering any serious and life-altering side effects. she credits her supportive family for her quick recovery.

dabbles in watercolour particularly when visual journaling (a technique she picked up in therapy and now uses in her lyric journals as well).

is a messy writer and this is best proven on the pages of her many notebooks, each filled with half-written song lyrics and ideas, but a majority of which are barely legible. she claims this is because she needs to get the ideas out of her head and onto paper before she forgets them.

prefers pen and paper to computers and tablets, and really only gets on her computer when she has serious work to do.

however she does have a slight addiction to her phone and can often be found playing best fiends and kitty collector, wizards unite and pokémon go!

she’s also a big fan of scrabble go (despite the fact that she is only okay at it), if you’re a true friend you’ve had countless game invites and are poked regularly to continue.

loves musical theatre, makes one trip to new york every year to see a handful of shows.

credits her mother for her love of music, appreciation for good lyrics and overall musical sensibilities. if she hadn’t filled their home with the classics (joni mitchell, tom waits, carole king, etc.) who knows what her relationship would be with music!

her love of baking from comes from mom too. when she is dealing with big feelings she doesn’t know how to express she will bake them into a pie. and then deliver that pie to the person who has her in her feels.

still struggles with body image and feelings of anxiety and self-worth, but makes a conscious effort every day not to let it rule her life. her experiences have made her a champion for body positivity and mental health awareness and she considers herself to be an advocate for her students. she will not see them go through what she did.

Cannot say no to a got chocolate (though why would she want to?).

moved briefly to la to make a real go at selling her music and/or getting a record deal. while she hustled, making meetings with anyone in the music industry who would give her the time of day she also worked as a nanny to two beautiful young girls. she couldn’t believe her good luck when she discovered her employer was a record exec who worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry. and when he agreed to listen to some of her stuff and maybe even help her with a demo? she was over the moon! until one night, after sharing some very personal original songs, he made it very clear if she wanted any favors from him she’d have to do one for him in return. after only five months, marley found herself running back to her family home feeling violated, ashamed, and very sure she didn’t have what it too. still too embarrassed and ashamed, she hasn’t told one of them the real reason she came home and as far as they are concerned she simply realized it was impractical to move out to la without a backup job.

went to college in sander’s bay so she could help out with the bakery. her mother didn’t approve of her giving up her dreams but marley insists (even as she finds herself putting down roots as a teacher) she hasn’t given up on them, they are just on hold.

still wants to make it back to la one day and give songwriting a real shot. she also wants to travel europe, asia and india.

doesn’t know how to take compliments and will often distract by enthusiastically returning the sentiments to the giver.

Matt always knew he wanted to be a firefighter, ever since he was a little boy. He asked for firetruck and begged and begged for a dalmation. He didn’t go anywhere without his little fire helmet. His dad wanted him to go into show choir, which he did, but as soon as graduation came along he enrolled in the fire academy and been a first responder ever since.

When it comes to dating, Matt is all about that single life. He had a serious relationship some years back with a pediatrician that went South. There were a lot of issues which led to that split but ever since he keeps himself guarded.

A year after Matt became a firefighter he answered a horrific call that left him mentally scarred. It was to the point he sought out a psychiatrist. One he still sees to this day.

He is very close to his family. Close to the point that he sees them every Sunday for dinner and runs over there for any random little thing. He used to live next door to them but found a place closer to work a couple years back.

Matt loves to cook. It’s a way he decompresses from a bad day and is always in need of someone to enjoy his food. May it be a date or a hang out. Even after a one night stand if they stay over.

If one wants to find Matt, it’s safe to assume he’s at the bar around the corner from the station. Especially on karaoke nights. He’d be there jamming out to Springsteen or Jovi.

Matt is a big time movie guy. He can talk to anyone about any film from the fifties all the way to now.

However, with music, he’s more into the classics. He’ll sing some of the newer things but that’s mainly to annoy someone. Especially when he’s in a playful mood.

Matt is a rather down to Earth guy who loves to joke around. When he’s serious is when you know something bad happened. It takes a lot, and I mean a lot, to get him to that serious level.

Matt can speak Spanish. He’s not the most fluent in it but he’s traveled to a few Central American countries and managed to get by without much need of a translator.

When it comes to flirting, Matt is a huge one. He likes to make people feel good and appreciated. He is also one to complement if he notices a new hairstyle or outfit.

Matt’s also one to one to annoy people, more along in the big older brother kind of way. He is good at picking up if he’s gone too far. He’s also not one to whine if he gets smacked on the arm or the back of the head the few times he doesn’t catch on.

Matt lives alone in a bungalow. He works on the house and his car whenever he has free time. He is not against people joining him. He always has a six pack ready and plenty of things to talk about while work gets done.

When Matt retires he wishes to move to another country. He hasn’t decided yet other than it needs to have an awesome view of the beach.

Matt played sports in school. He was the captain of the football and soccer team. He had to quit in his Junior year due to a knee and shoulder injury he acquired during a bad play on the soccer field. It doesn’t bother him as much but on certain days these old injuries ache.

Hunter’s family has a strong military background but that was never going to be his way.

Hunter attended military academies growing up, as soon as he was able.  He was kicked out of one for being insubordinate to the officers above him.  Despite this, and with a stint at a public school, Hunter was accepted to West Point Academy for college- also thanks to his father’s influence.  

Hunter’s time at West Point did not go any better; except that he found his true passion… political science.  He left West Point and ended up at the University of Maryland where he got a BA in Political Science.  From there, Hunter went on to Georgetown University for his Masters and then PhD in International Relations.

Hunter has not had a lot of serious relationships and while most of his sexual history has been with women, Hunter has hooked up with a few men.  

Hunter definitely never really saw himself settling down and never had an inkling to be a father.  His own relationship with his parents can best be described as strained.  He is not the son they expected.

Hunter jokes that academia is his mistress.

When he was a teenager, and a military school cadet, Hunter’s mother insisted he learn how to ballroom dance.  

When he arrived in Sander’s Bay with a job teaching Political Science at the local college, Hunter stumbled into a local dance studio where he met Lucia ‘Lucky’ Berry and the rest, as they say, is history.  (There was definitely a chemistry between them on the dance floor, a very physical chemistry, and despite very busy schedules on both their parts, they made time for each other, and began a romantic relationship.

Hunter actually enjoys being a father figure to Lucky’s son Drew.  And he wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to them having a child of their own if the time comes.

Hunter’s relationship with Lucky and his role with her son has actually improved his relationship with his parents.  As he “settles down”, he is becoming more like the man they expected him to be, even if he doesn’t wear the uniform.  

~Hunter has a sister Avery and they are fairly close despite the fact that she was young when he left for military school and they didn’t exactly grow up together.  Although he didn’t understand it, he was always supportive of her relationship with Trevor and Chase.  He is glad to be a support for the two now.  

Hunter is responsible, courageous, and reliable.  He has integrity, perseverance, and self-discipline.  However, he can also be abrasive, cynical,  and judgmental.  He is also obsessive (almost compulsive), sarcastic, and stubborn.

A throw back to his time at military schools, Hunter runs five miles a day.  Every day.  He also boxes and works out at the gym to relieve stress. Hunter eats healthy, and isn’t a big fan of sweets.  He can appreciate some of Lucky’s vegetarian meals and recipes but he still likes various types of meat.  

Hunter is named after the military base in Georgia he was born on.  And yes his middle name is Ulysses as in Ulysses Grant.

Hunter is left handed.  He is a very clean and organized person.  

Hunter drinks maybe one or two coffees a day, black or occasionally with some honey,  preferring to drink water for the most part.  On a special occasion he might have a latte.  At night, Hunter drinks one whiskey, on the rocks, before dinner and one after, if he didn’t have wine with dinner.  

Hunter is very close with his grandmother Henri; they exchange handwritten letters monthly.

FELICIA HARDY — A.K.A.BLACK CAT — TAKEN!

“ For years I was the little thief pretending to be a socialite. But this... This is new. I'm done pretending. This cat's going to be a queen. Queen of thieves. Queen of crime. Queen of this whole town! And nothing and no one are going to get in my way! . ”

During her childhood the only thing that stuck with her was something that her father had mentioned to her before his arrest. He told her to never settle for second best and encouraged her to do better for herself. Seeing that her father was a world renowned cat burglar it is easy to see where she had gotten her ideas later on in life.

Felicia attended Empire State University and decided to attend a party. Managing to get cornered by a drunken student in the bathroom Felicia was nearly sexually assaulted but was saved by a fellow student named Ryan. It wasn’t too long after this that the pair became close friends. Following this the pair started dating and not too far into this relationship Ryan began demanding to get into a more physical relationship.  Despite her protests, he wouldn’t accept no as an answer. After this the pair spilt she put aside her studies and began training in various fighting styles and acrobatics.  Felicia refused to simply be a victim so she focused on the skills that would allow her to end her attacker’s life.

After months of preparation Felicia set out for her revenge but before she could find him she learned that Ryan was killed in a drunk driving accident. Being denied the chance to destroy the life of the person that destroyed hers infuriated Felicia.  Feeling reckless she decided to follow in the footsteps of her father. After amassing a small fortune in stolen goods she chose to adopt an alternative identity and donned the costume of the Black Cat for the first time.

Black Cat went to break her father out of prison only to be stopped by Spider-Man.  Managing to fake being insanely unhinged she was locked into a less secure facility where she managed to use her skills to escape.  She forgot about her father and went for one last big score after a few other scores she had. She tried to convince Spider-Man to join her.  When she couldn’t he tried to capture her.  In order to evade going capture she appeared to have flung herself to her death.  

Lying low, Felicia is thinking over her choices and deciding what path to take in life.  Not really a hero, but not entirely a villain.  

Abilities:

Expert Thief: Felicia is a skilled thief skilled in stealth, picking locks, escapology, evading alarms and cracking safes.

Olympic Level Athlete: She has reflexes, agility, and stamina of an Olympic level acrobat. She is physically very strong and athletic and has great physical endurance. Felicia is particularly a skilled acrobat capable of many difficult feats.

Skilled Martial Artist: She has been trained in several martial arts; most notably Goju-ryu Karate and Judo which she specializes in. Felicia is capable of taking on several armed assailants and incapacitating them without being injured herself.

VIRGINIA POTTS --- a.k.a. PEPPER --- TAKEN!

"I do anything and everything Mr. Stark requires. Including occasionally taking out the trash."

Virginia Potts’s professional career began to become interesting when she spotted a mistake in some financial paperwork at Stark Industries. Believing that the only way to fix the mistake was to go straight to the top, as in Mr. Tony Stark himself, Virginia did exactly that by not taking no for an answer and for pepper-spraying a security guard who got in her way. Impressed by her attention to detail and her determination, Tony Stark promoted Virginia to be his personal assistant and gave her the new nickname ‘Pepper’.

Pepper spent years by Tony Stark’s side, providing whatever he needed. She became one of the only people who could ever make Tony sort of on time for meetings and be able to manage his moods and whims. However nothing could have prepared Pepper for when her boss was kidnapped overseas, or her boss deciding to become a superhero who called himself Iron Man. Pepper’s working challenges shifted again when her boss promoted her to the CEO position of Stark Industries, freeing him up to concentrate more time on being Iron Man and giving Pepper the opportunity of a life time.

Pepper excelled in her new role and Stark Industries was more successful than ever. New developments were happening in Pepper’s personal life too as her and Tony began a romantic relationship. But dating Iron Man brought with it more challenges and stresses that pushed the limits of what Pepper could endure for the man she loved. As much as she adored him, it appeared as if she was always going to be second to the Iron Man image and mission. As such, Pepper and Tony called an end to their romance.

Now Pepper has thrown herself back into her work, keeping Stark Industries stable in an ever unstable market. She still cares deeply for Tony and shows a great deal of concern for his well-being. She checks up on him, but through his newest assistant or his best pal, James Rhodes. She has also had contact with Natasha Romanoff, her former assistant, although she has not told anyone about that. Pepper might not be as involved with Iron Man as she was, but she still plays an important part in Stark’s life.
