MAX HOLDEN || KINA GRANNIS || TAKEN
29 year old waitress from Aspen Hollow, WY
BIOGRAPHY
For Max Holden, the town of Aspen Hollow is suffocating. It's unbelievably small, and nothing of note ever happens there. Honestly, te biggest thing to ever happen in Aspen Hollow was the time when Mrs. Carville’s cow got loose and blocked the traffic on Main Street for an hour last year. But, as much as she'd like to, Max doesn't have the resources to get out. She waits on tables, pays rent, pays the bills, and dreams of escape. In the mean time, though, she tries to make do with what she can. She saves whatever she has left, she researches jobs and homes in other towns, and she waits for some rich, old man will sweep through town and leave his inheritence to her because he likes her spunk. But, when none of that's working for her, Max works on her photography. Wherever she goes, her camera is not far from her--everything she sees is just waiting to be captured on film.
Naturally, that extends to the people, as well. While Aspen Hollow might not be the most interesting place on earth, the people certainly are. This tiny town is so full of such strange characters, and Max does her part to catch as much of that as she can--even if that means sneaking a shot quietly at night, hoping not to get caught. It's her belief that people are at their most honest--and their rawest--when they think that no one is watching. So, to get the shots she wants, Max will not be seen. She is the invisble photographer. Of course, she can't sell any of these shots that she takes. No one would be interested, and if they were, it'd be hard to explain them away. But, even if there's not a need for them, Max can't bring herself to part with her work. She keeps them tucked away in unassuming folders, but if these pictures fell into the wrong hands, Max might find herself in more trouble than she bargained for...
CONNECTIONS
Maighdy Halloway: One of Max's favorite subjects. She takes as many pictures of Maighdy as she can, at the risk of getting caught doing so Most of her files are full of Maighdy's picture.
Phillip Brewer:Because she doesn't know anything about him, Max finds Phillip that much more interesting. She's tried going to his house to take pictures a few times, but always chickened out.
Art Zucker: Max has a few pictures of his, but is wary of him. He asks about the missing people sometimes, and Max is always worried he'll find her pictures. She has a few photos of the people he's looking for, but she's certain they're not relevant to the cases.
