No Room for Delicacy
"You and I." Takeru mumbled under his breath. A disapproving look pointed toward a nearby bush. "We." He spoke, glaring at the bush. His pulse rose, blood rushing to his face as his body contorted in a manner likened to ancient pagans. His palms raised, fingers curled in frustration and his back bent far back as if he were about to play a game of Limbo.
"It's not that easy to ask her." He told the bush, walking to it, leaning against it and then sinking backward. It ended with his own head being planted amongst the shrubbery. "Tch!" He spat mulch and looked up at his feet dangling above him. His arms shot outward, grabbing onto what he could to pull himself out. When he was on his feet again, he gave a few scratches to his hair and watched as leaves and branches fell to the sidewalk.
"This'll be simple." He said, pulling at the bottom of his shirt, effectively straightening the fabric. "I just ask-" He blinked. "No, I'm going to tell her!" He turned, pointing at the bush he'd decided to lean on before. "Arisu and I-" He kept his index finger straight for a moment, but then it curled inward. She didn't like it when he demanded things. She liked it even less when he whined.
"Fuck that." He snorted. "I'm a god damn man! I'll say whatever I please!" He looked toward the double doors, scanning with his eyes for Arisu who should have been on her way out. His left hand reached out and grabbed the bush by a branch, pulling the mass of it over to his face. His vision turned on it slowly.
"We're moving in together, Arisu." He glared and with a nod, he was satisfied with his practice. He waited at the end of the sidewalk, taking no notice of people who thought of him as a sideshow. He wasn't interested in anyone other than a long, dark-haired girl. Eventually, he crossed his arms over his chest and side.
"She's probably talking to everyone in the halls." He groaned with a side-glance at his partner, the bush. "She wants to talk to everyone but me." His right palm flipped out and he fully glared at the bush as if it were going to answer him. "Yeah, I know." He responded. "Women." He said to the bush with a sigh and eyeroll. People were walking far around him now in an effort to avoid him. He would've shouted and made things worse for himself with a display of violent arrogance but his nerves were killing him. He just wanted to get it out of his mouth in her presence. Everything else that followed... Well, he didn't rehearse that far.
