Day three of @talesfemslashweek! Those are supposed to be petunias but I think it turned into a generic flower patch. Either way, we got a neat garden date ^-^

It wasn’t often that Velvet willingly let another person touch her hair, which is why Eleanor took simple joy in this moment. Even though they’d technically been dating for a few weeks, saving the world always took priority over their own comfort and pleasure. Now, they had the small mercy of a lull, where they could take a break.

She pulled the comb through Velvet’s thick black hair, teasing out any knots and thoroughly enjoying the feel of its weight in her hands. Velvet let out and pleased sigh, and spoke in a manner that was oddly soft for her.

“I wish we could do this more often.”

“Hey now,” said Eleanor, “we’re pirates, we’ll steal whatever peace we can.”

She then sees her pull out another Pocky and returns the challenge much to the assassin merchants delight
