Prologue
Have you ever wondered about creatures well known, but never seen?? Like the great Sasquatch. Known by the world, seen by very few. Those creatures seem to be very odd as well. A giant ape in the cold of British Columbia would sound insane to you first time around. Apes are Southern creatures. They’re meant for the heat. Much like elephants. If someone told you about Northern elephants, you’d think about Mammoths and Mastodons. But they aren’t the only Northern elephants of this world. Somewhere, in the deep forests of British Columbia, lives an isolated species of elephant. Due to the cold climates, they lost more than 48% of their normal size, but gained a very specialised half-inch of blubur within them. They are also much smarter than any other species we know of; they understand the concept of clothing and jewelry, foraging what they can from abandoned buildings. Above all of that, they also seemed partially related to humans. They have fully evolved vocal cords and they can stand erect. Only humans were known to do that. And so far, humans only know that they can do that. The species managed to hide in the forests undetected for centuries and counting. Many times were they in danger of being spotted, but luck saved them from disaster. This is a story of a trooper named Evan, a young militant with a heart of gold. His story is a story of great adventure, great drama and great danger. His story starts as most stories do, at birth. But his adventure starts on a warm Spring day, on the verge of summer.
