"Talia Smith has big wide plans for the world. A New Zealander who has been working in Melbourne, Australia, she has been recording the smaller traces of life, looking at memory and displacement in space.
Now freshly graduated with a Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts majoring in Photography and Media Arts, she is still working hard at creating new opportunities for emerging artists and finding her own place in another art scene.

How would you describe yourself as a creator?
I like to use a camera (generally film not digital) to capture marks and traces left on a space. The spaces I choose are underwhelming and everyday but they resonate through the marks left from human interaction."
