Hugh was just leaving the hospital from his routine check-up and restocking his pills for migraine, when he sees Nina Ismail marching up to him. He knew this was bound to happen ever since she re-entered the town, and Miss Shepherd has warned him of Nina. Despite his best effort to avoid her, she is the Witch of the Century for God’s sake; Hugh only delayed the inevitable-- the only problem is that he doesn’t know what’s her problem. “Ms. Ismail. It has been too long.” Hugh greets her with his perfunctory politeness. “I’d love to help you, but I’m actually off-duty this afternoon. Perhaps we can schedule a meeting?” He gestures backward at the hospital building, “unless you have other business with me personally.”
