Yesterday on The Talk, host Sheryl Underwood revealed her #TalkSecrets and it sent the internet into a buzz!! Sheryl reveals that years ago she was asked, for a second time, to join the Queens of Comedy for a new comedy concert. She logs in EARLY to a conference call for the project, to hear 3 of the 4 queens: Sommore, Adele Givens and Laura Hayes talking about her!!! They were in the midst of discussing her appearance, abilities, and more! (Yes that is some juuuuicy shit). What I love most about this story, other than her fabulous knack for storytelling, was the lesson and message behind it. (Oh, and also that she revealed that story for the time yesterday).
"I was bruised but not broken". She said that rather than being vengeful, she chose to “take the truth of what they’re saying and make myself an even better person”. Sheryl went on to work with these ladies on other projects after this, and she made it clear that she holds no hard feelings about that day by closing her story and reminding us, "I’m right where I belong".
If you know me, you know what my FAVORITE part of the clip was "Hey bitch I hear you". LOL! I love it!! What i love even more, is that last week Sheryl Underwood started following me on Twitter!!! AHHHHHH! Crazy.
IF YOU HAVE BOOBS: Sheryl and I both suggest you watch her clip and do the same. She reminds us that if she didn’t hear those things, she wouldn’t be who she is today AND she wouldn’t be where she is today…co-hosting on a well paid talk show on CBS!!!! Mmmmhmmm. Let the church say Amen. Amen!
Black people. What else can we learn from this? CP Time isn’t always ya friend! It pays to be on time…and by on time I mean 5 minutes early. Black people…make it 10 to be safe.
