#MentalHealthDay: Right before I had my son, I had faced a really dark space and place in my life due to a lot of failures. In that time, I thought I wasn't good enough, wasn't smart enough, wasn't pretty enough, that I didn't live up to people's expectations. This depression lasted well into my pregnancy and even #postpartum. Needless to say, I was pretty jacked up for a long time. I didn't think my story was relevant because so many people have gone through the same thing I had gone through prior to me even existing. I thought that sharing my story wouldn't be enough. I took a different route, and started the hashtag #TalkToB. Through that hashtag, I created a phone number that people could call or text about their problems. I wanted to be a vessel because I didn't want other people to hurt the way that I did. It kept me alive. Fast forward to today. #TalkToB is so much more! Is it a place where people can still vent? Absolutely! But now, it is my place to remind myself how worthy I am to try again every single day. How #worthy I am to be #IsleyGeorge's mother. And how #blessed I am to have people who not only listen, but who want to share their experiences with me. If you're ever in a space where you're not sure what to do next, #TalkToB or click the hashtag and check out the videos! 💚 https://www.instagram.com/p/BoxU80KjzoX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=n2ijbqfxre43
