vincent castle / thirty-two / liquor store owner

born and raised in sweet springs, wa. he’s the oldest in a family with seven younger siblings. his parents couldn’t decide how many children they wanted, so they kept going until they decided to call it quits.

because he was the oldest sibling, he had a lot of responsibilities placed upon him, such as ensuring for the safety of his younger brothers and sisters. it didn’t help that the family was under the public eye for as long as vincent could remember. his father owned a chain of luxurious hotels all over the country, and the castle name had a reputation to maintain.

the castle family was known for their luxurious lifestyle thanks to how successful their parents managed to be. growing up, vincent was no doubt a spoiled child and teenager. he quickly became used to the rich life where he could snap his fingers and things would be given to him.

fast forward many years into the future when vincent is now old enough to make a career out of himself, it became time for his father to start grooming him to take over the family business one day. but first, he had to be put through a series of tests to make sure he was ready.

the first test involved managing a brand new liquor store his father up and bought in sweet springs. if vincent could keep the place afloat for a full year, he’d move onto the next set of trials. 

time now: it’s been about six months since the store opened and, all things considering, things have been going well. vincent wasn’t too worried about selling alcohol since he figured it’d be a hot commodity, especially in a small town with not much to do.

hello friends pls meet leila, your resident do-gooder and enigmatic ball of energy

name is subject 2 change and i still need to figure out her occupation BUT i can still tell y’all about her

born and raised in sweet springs, she’s pretty much gotten bored of the whole “idyllic, small town” vibe and wants to spread out her wings and ~explore but her family is basically keeping her from actually doing so

also lowkey still in town because she literally can’t imagine living without her best friend its kinda a Problem

she makes a bad habit out of trying to care for everybody, which ends up backfiring on her more often than not, but seeing someone sad makes her sad and ): that makes everyone sad

tbh you could call her a princess and she’d deny it but secretly love it as well -- honestly, call her habibti and she’ll melt, pet names are her absolute favorite

often code switches into arabic when she’s angry or tired or drunk, so watch out for that

honestly she has a very contained sort of energy, choosing it to spend hours upon hours doing research on some obscure subject or going out on hikes and generally exploring around the wilderness

has a green thumb and takes care of at least 10 succulents at a time, but also is planning on having an Actual Garden where she can grow plants and !! it’s such an exciting thought for her she’s already planned what kinda fruits and vegetables she’s going to cultivate

leila is def the kind of girl that eats out of coconut bowls and does yoga at 6am in the morning because it makes her feel alive. the environment is her baby and she won’t let anybody harm it if she can help it

honestly !! just a sweetheart. don’t hurt her please.

seeds are patient and quiet. they would rather observe than be the center of attention. they can be hesitant, trying to "wait for the right moment" – they then can feel like a late bloomer if they feel they missed their only opportunity. seeds are people of few words, knowing the weight of everything they say. they don't like confrontation and would rather if their problems would just stay buried. they are resilient and protective of themselves, but beneath their tough outer shell is usually a sensitive interior.

the most traditional of the groups, roots are strong foundations for their families and social circles. they are known to be stubborn in their ways, digging their feet in and not budging once their mind is made up. they can feel suffocated by large groups or even a lot of one-on-one social interaction, and roots need their alone-time to recharge. however, they are dedicated to the ones they care about and will go to great lengths to ensure everyone around them is well-cared for.

confident but rigid, stems are known to be hard to read, wearing good poker faces in most situations. they only reveal their total and true emotions to those they trust completely. stems are quick to anger and are known for their hot temper. as fast as they snap, they seem to heal just as quickly, believing that one comes back stronger even though some scars may remain. at their best, they can greatly help those around them by giving others the backbone and self-assurance to conquer their own fears.

leaves are the true extroverts. highly perceptive and empathetic to those around them, picking up on the mood of a room. it can be difficult for them to conceal their emotions and thus are better off with people in their life who can work their true feelings out of them. leaves are known to be flighty, moving from one group of friends to the next, making friends easily wherever they go, but never giving relationships the opportunity to turn into something long-standing. they are energetic and work well in teams, helping to keep moral up in a bad situation.

feigning shyness are the flowers of the world. they love attention but won't ever admit to it, always hoping someone will come along and simply notice their beauty, intelligence, or talent. they are gentle and kind but vain and prone to envy. they are not hard workers, sometimes even called "delicate," and prefer jobs that don't require much in the way of physical labor. flowers are sure of their opinions, surprising others with their quick wit when they let it show. they want to be loved and adored and may wither if they are not given the time of day they desire.

fruits are the eccentrics, the humanitarians, the people-pleasers. they are sweet – sometimes cloyingly so – without ever asking for anything in return. they do not heal well from past traumas, crushing under minimal pressure, and holding grudges or remaining resentful years after a disagreement or fight. under the right conditions, fruits can have lifelong friendships or romances, but only if the other party has the patience to handle their superstitious nature and personal insecurities.
