The composition process is very strange. For me, it’s basically smashing the keyboard repeatedly until I get a chord progression/simple melody that kind of gives me an earworm, and then I expand it from there.
Since I’m getting my jam back, I might try to create some sort of DIY PMD-style boss battle theme. You know, because why not. This is the very beginnings of that.
(Also, I may or may not have fallen in love with low-quality pizzicato string samples, heheheh)
So I managed to shoehorn my passion (music) into something completely unrelated (being an emergency dispatcher). It’s a long story. Suffice to say, my company’s training PowerPoint is now 14% more interesting!
Kaboom! Kablooey! Uhh.
Trying to get out of the fact that all of my music seems to be peaceful and/or tranquil. This is just a WIP, obviously. But I'm sleepy, so I'm posting it. Lemme know what you think.

I'm feeling rather peaceful tonight, so I threw together something peaceful.
As a side note, stuff posted here will be WIPs and simple stuff. Finished pieces can be found on my official music blog, here.
I haven't posted anything in a while, so I figured I'd sit down and work on something.
Battle themes have always been a love of mine, but their musical structure usually escapes me. I also need to work on my bass usage!

Messing around with some new soundfonts, instruments, plugins, and mixer inserts. Nothing special. Super rough.
It came out sounding like something straight of of MapleStory or Ragnarok Online, bahaha.
This melody's been bopping around in my head for a while. Thought it sounded good for the Explorer's Guild in PMDU or something? Eh. I'll flesh it out later.
Work-in-progress
I wanted to remix the Regi battle theme for PMDU, considering what mission 1 entails and all. This is a WIP track. There will be more!
