This is both hilarious and a huge metaphor for solving things by being pushy and not considering other people’s desires, isn’t it....
lmao thanks
I don’t drink so basically all I know is “virgin mojitos are tasty and usually available if a place serves drinks and you want something more interesting than water”
Yeah, I love that weird half-existence he has, as more of a concept than a person. (And thank you for liking my line 🥰)
Hmm, I definitely see both. It’s an interestingly allegorical way of looking at it, and I think the allegory is definitely valid and there, but I also see them as separate characters falling in love. It’s cool to think about!
It was so much! What a perfect conclusion to a gorgeous series. I was crying too....
Thank you! I was having plenty of Feelings of my own, and I’m glad I could share ‘em ;)
Thank you so much, I’m so flattered!! I hope you’re doing well, and thank you for reading!!!
YES. They can just be. I’m so glad for them.
You know, I already thought “oooh hands this has a very Utena feel” when I saw that and I that was well before I got to the end! It’s lovely to see the way that this show has made its mark and influenced others; there were a few times throughout where I went “oh, so this is what that moment in Steven Universe was referring to...”
(And yes I love SPOP; I’ve even cosplayed Catra~)
(from my screener)
I really love this analysis-- and even though I was pretty stunned when I read that some people think Black Rose is ‘filler’, I don’t think I could have articulated why it’s not this well, at least not without a good long while and a couple re-watches, haha. But yeah, what makes Utena such a genuinely good person is that she cares, and she reaches out, and that’s why even though Akio thinks nothing has changed once she ‘drops out’, we can see from the little hints of their growth that he’s wrong. He’s so very wrong.
