This could come across as me completely blaming this fandom and making it out to be a fandom that doesn’t care about poc which isn’t the point of my post. It’s been brought to my attention that a lot of poc in the fandom who right fanfic won’t tag it under these things and that’s completely fair bc you don’t have to. It is just “ cnco fanfic” so specifying “poc” or “interracial” may not feel necessary to some people which is all cool. However that doesn’t make my point any less valid just because it’s not super prevalent in this fandom it is in others and that’s all I’m saying. If I’ve offended anyone just let me know because that’s not the intention
The fact that I just searched this up and there’s not even a inch of a post to be seen speaks volumes. There’s such a lack of racial diversity within fandoms and it shows( it happens in majority of fandoms but I’m just focusing on the cnco one rn) the fact that I even have to type that in is a problem itself as if white characters are the default and poc are just an after thought or lesser than to the point where there has to be poc dedicated blogs bc there is such little representation of it and it really shouldn’t have to be like that. I’ve been on tumblr since 2013 and in fandoms from around the same time and nothing has changed in those 6 years. It’s just sad that I’ve spent so many years reading stuff like “you tie your wavy hair up into a messy bun” or “a light blush creeps on to your cheeks” like no it doesn’t. None of that I could relate to and I wish I could actually be included in it for once.
Anyway just a little rant as to what was on my mind and how I feel.

Honestly I went on tumblr hoping to see some happy stuff and this is what I wake up to. I am honestly heartbroken, I still can’t believe it. That has truly destroyed my childhood, I’ve loved his work and him ever since Jessie was on and it’s just so so sad. Life is so cruel man, he was taken away so quickly and for what? He was literally so young and had so many years ahead of him,I just can’t believe it. He was just so multitalented, kind, funny. I remember he did a lot of charity work and I just love that, what was there not to like about him. I know I never truly knew him but I will miss him, his interviews, his Instagram posts. Just seeing him really. This has really fucked me up I can’t lie, I’m so hurt. At least if he was going to pass away, it happened peacefully in his sleep. Im happy he wasn’t in pain in his final moments. R.I.P CAMERON BOYCE 💜🙏🏽
