ooooooh my darling, sweet, tortured ellis... she’s having a rough old time of it. I’m currently writing Indomitable and at the moment we’re still at the part of the fic where elle is in hospital recovering, but i think i’ll only continue that for perhaps 2 more chapters before getting into the more movie related and exciting parts of the story. this is a little of what i wrote today if that is of any interest...
In the first couple of weeks after she was broughtaround from the anaesthetic that had kept her under for four months, anyone whovisited Ellis Grant did so at their own risk. Withdrawals from the high dosesof pain relief she had been receiving and the devastation that came with therealisation of what was happening to her meant that Ellis was volatile,agitated and, at times, down right rude to anyone that so much has breathed inher presence. Her family, and both Owen and Lowery continued to visit her dailyhowever, despite her outbursts, the tears and the snarky comments they receivedwhenever they did so. They knew that she was suffering, and Noah had told themthat it would be this way for a while, at least until her body got used toliving without the drugs that it had become so dependent on.
