she is a metahuman with the ability to create hallucinations!!
she was a former military soldier and after an honorable discharge, her powers began to appear and with no knowledge of them, she accidentally used her powers on others which, to a degree, caused their death so she was put in belle reve
amanda waller initially wanted her for task force x but realizing that she’s in great need of a “purpose” and just someone to tell her what to do, she decided to make her her pet project
so she was moved out of belle reve and trained to control her powers all the while groomed to be submissive to waller’s orders
after she was deemed ready, she became an official ARGUS agent and sent out on missions; ones that are either her area of expertise or ones that waller can’t risk to trust on anyone else. or both, really. it’s mostly both
not sure what her expertise is yet, tho, other than her powers
amidst all that and her “blossoming” career, she meets colonel flag, and she immediately likes him to a T
i mean of course she didn’t let that show and she’s more focused on her missions, but the more they’re put together (after realizing just how well they work) on missions, the harder it gets to stay professional
lots of pining here, fake-out make-out there, and then eventually they get together and hide their relationship from waller (who ofc already knows, but decided not to intervene in case she needs to have leverage over dom)
i’m thinking by the suicide squad they’re already engaged, but rick dies at the end of the movie, and a wandavision-esque thing happened where as she’s crying over his body, she used her powers on herself
the illusion is that rick almost died, but she managed to take him to a hospital and they both retired and they’re living their best lives as husband and wife
that alone probably tipped her off that it’s not real, but deep down she knew the alternative and that it was something she just couldn’t handle
going back to the real world, she’s resting on top of rick’s dead body and a protective force field is surrounding them, so like it was really hard to get her out (which...was probably the point)
it’s not exactly like wandavision, but you get the picture
anyways at some point they get her out and she just goes on a murder rampage
she then found peacemaker, to kill him, supposedly, but when she has the chance she just ends up screaming lots and lots of “fuck you” to him until she breaks down on the floor crying
it’s very emotional, really
although there’s a lotta subtle (not really) flirting between her and peacemaker’s girlfriend, lana vale (who dom tried to kill as well) so do with that what you will lol
okay i don’t have much, except that she is also a fellow ARGUS agent, dom’s only friend (a word that sometimes doesn’t even matter between them lol) and she’s paired with emilia harcourt!!
