Back in May, I had the pleasure of returning to photograph the annual Portland Art Museum Volunteer Appreciation Party. This is one of the first large events I ever shot when I started out, and every year I’m so delighted that I get to show my appreciation for the faith these great volunteers showed in me. This year, there was a mariachi band to get the crowd warmed up and then an incredible salsa band got everyone up and dancing. The excellent music paired with delicious tamales by Tamale Boy went a long way to showing the volunteers how much their hard work is appreciated by the museum.
