It is one of my experimental works and truly expressionistic. After feeding my goldfish in my pond I went into my studio looked at this cardboard piece and started to paint using oil paint for the special dry, pastel like effect. I painted my favourite shapes, triangles first and then the rest has evolved.

Blue Woman, Tamara Savchenko
This abstract painting is an abstract version of one of my most successful portraits Blue Woman which was damaged during transportation from one exhibition to another. The colour scheme is the same and I used oil liquin impasto to create different textures with paint knives. The professional canvas is stretched on professionally made stretches and prepared with layers of Geso and acrylic paint. It is unframed.

The idea came to me when I was watching a documentary about ballet dancers, how they work hard and their beautiful performances. I also believe that my "triangular" cubistic style accentuates the shapes of ballet dances bodies, their perfect poses and movements.
