So my coworker told me this hilarious story: So back in the day before you scanned everything with barcode you had to enter in the price of all items manually. This lady is in line and she’s got a 14 pack of Tampax tampons. It doesn’t have a price on it, so the cashier calls up his buddy and asks, “Can I get a price check on a 14 pack of Tampax?” and the guy on the other line thought he said ‘thumbtacks’ so he replies - and everyone in line can hear this - with,
“Are those the kind you push in with your thumb or pound in with a hammer?”
WHAt are the odds of those things lining up so that can happen?! And keep in mind that this was at least far back enough that you were manually entering in prices, so think about how open these people are about their feminine hygiene products lmao that’s one hell of an ice breaker
