Ok so I decided to google tambourines in Rock Music and it turns out it’s a pretty common instrument

Fleetwood Mack, Rolling Stones, the Doors and a few others. Usually it’s either the drummer or singers who don’t usually play an instrument.

Roger Taylor ‘Outsider’ tour, 02 Bournemouth last night. At the front, the queuing was worth it though, caught a few flashes of twinkly blue eyes and a salut (!). Tambourines we’re thrown, caught and missed. Shiny white shoes worn, a red velvet jacket for the encore.A Kind of magic was wonderful. It was the best thing I’ve been to in a long time and got quite emotional. Just a shame he didn’t stop at stage door for a bit afterwards.
