Spotlight on Buddy Brew

Buddy Brew, a specialty coffee roaster, has only the best of intentions for Tampa Bay which shines through its motto “brew good and do good.” Buddy Brew believes coffee should be extraordinary. They source the highest quality beans from the best farms around the world. Then they artfully hand roasts each bean to its individual perfection. 

Founders Dave and Susan Ward began Buddy Brew with Christmas presents to their friends. They home-roasted coffee beans and jokingly created a label for the brew named after their dog Buddy. Now a Tampa staple, Buddy Brew has five locations in the greater Tampa Bay area. Also, their coffee is sold is select Publix and Whole Foods. 

Right now, they have two special releases. The Old Florida Roast has tasting notes of fresh citrus, sugarcane, and sunshine! And with every purchase of a  limited edition black and rose gold bags, $1 is donated to Nourish, helping provide proper nutrition to children in our community. That’s just one way that Buddy Brew lives out “brew good and do good.”

From the exceptional service, beautiful interiors, and delicious menu offerings, Buddy Brew makes it obvious that details matter. Their first coffee bar opened in Tampa, Florida in 2010 and they have been on a passionate quest for coffee ever since!
