The viktualienmarkt began as a farmers market in the early 1800s. Today it has evolved into a huge and amazing market full of wine, gourmet honey, more cheese than I could eat in a lifetime (I know that’s a lot), and even a beer garden. We went here multiple times during our stay for drinks, to pick up snacks for a picnic, or to do some shopping for our families back home - definitely one of our favorite outdoor markets! . .
