It's taken me a while to put this experience into words, but I think I can finally do it. Fish Camp has been the most amazing experience I could ever ask for. Initially, I did not know what I was in for but I quickly figured it out. All the hard work that was put into camp completely paid off. I cannot count how many times I cried of happiness while at Lakeview. Seeing the Freshmen laugh and get out of their comfort zone brought me so much joy. I really felt like I was able to impact the class of twenty 2020. Not only did I impact them they impacted me. My good friend @sethwilliams22 told me "It's not about how you change the freshmen it about how the freshmen change you" and that is so true. They made me a better person and have a special place in my heart. A&M is such an amazing university, I could go on for days about it and my experience as a counselor but it is true that "From the outside looking in, you can't understand it. And from the inside looking out, you can't explain it." Fish Camp may have ended, but this is just the beginning for Camp Wilkerson and all the relationships with the freshmen. I can't wait for what's to come. ❤️ P.S. A special thank you to my partner for being so easy going, hilarious and full of encouragement as well as being so freshman focused. You are so wonderful. Another thank you to my DG kids for accepting our weirdness, laughing with us and opening up. I look forward to getting to know y'all even more and growing with you guys. Y'all rock!! 💕💕 #CampWilkerson #FC16 #DGHairSoapAndDadJokes #TAMU2020 #TAMU20 (at Lakeview Methodist Conference Center)
