nanami dusk guards her heart once in willow creek. enter tanaka ikaru of mt. komorebi, an immature boy, nanami begins to fall for after spending everyday as lab partners in newcrest high school's botany class. however, there's one problem...ikaru's on again off again lover itō emiko.

nanami tries to tell ikaru of emiko's indefdility after spotting her getting cosy with hanabi taiyo, a young adult, at the freezer bunny ice cream store in oasis springs. however, ikaru accuses nanami of just being jealous and that she is always denying his advances and saying "no" to dates. unsure and anxious, nanami denies her jealously and musters up the courage to confess her love!

ikaru told nanami he didn't want to hear it and was going to find emiko and surprise her at the freezer bunny ice cream store. to his surprise, emiko wasn't with hanabi taiyo but making out with his bother, hanabi daku! mortified, ikaru fled and went to find nanami to apologize.
