MIT Tangible Media Group has a released a demo video of their "morphing table", now called inFORM (Interacting With a Dynamic Shape Display). What's apparent in this video that isn't in the previous, is the table responds to both virtual and physical feedback. I wonder how long it will take before this is scaled up to room size. It also seems very possible that the overhead projection is a gap solution until rgb LEDs are embedded in the columns.
