Tangle Update!

Since the last time I showed y'all I got a Tangle Original and a Zebra Tangle Jr™!!!!

I'd been looking for a Zebra Tangle for Months and finally found one at Target! I wanted to combine my Ehlers Danlos and my Autism rep into one stim toy :)

They only offer a single free sample to US residents up to $7 USD in price. Additional samples are available for an additional cost. I have no idea how difficult it is to get said sample or how much evidence one must provide in doing, or how much you might live to regret giving them your email and shipping address, but Tangle Jumbo. I’m sure some folks will want to give this one a try.

I got my Tangle Jumbo on Office Playground, which is now closed. Which gives me a problem I didn’t expect:

I can’t find anywhere that sells just standard tangle jumbos. The closest I can find is on websites that sell marketing things for businesses, which appears to be the same product just a strange way to get it. Most of them require at least 100 to be ordered, but a few allow you to buy samples. I have no idea if they have anything printed on them or not. If anyone’s interested in that, these are the ones I found: 3.55 USD on Motivators, 3.85 USD on Art Promos, and 4.36 USD on Go Imprints. Shipping in the US is 10 USD for Motivators, 7.99 USD for Art Promos, and 12.99 USD for Go Imprints, which is outrageous considering it’s one item and all of these are US based.

Another thing which is similar but not quiet the same is textured tangle jumbos. Those are more common, for reasons I don’t even begin to understand [I’ve seen many a tangle jumbo, but never anyone even talking of a textured tangle jumbo.] You can find them for 14.40 USD on Sensory Education, 15.95 USD on Fat Brain Toys, 19.95 USD on Hallmark, 19.99 USD on Fidget Club, and 24.55 USD on Thinking Toys. I converted everything to USD for uniformity, but Sensory Education is based in the UK and Thinking Toys in Ireland.

The tangle jumbo is certainly jumbo. It’s a little less than twice the size of a tangle jr in terms of length, and the links themselves are more than twice as thick. I don’t think there’s the possibility of being discreet with a tangle jumbo like there is with smaller tangles, just because of it’s size. It works just the same as other tangles, a very fun toy to twist and turn, an easy thing to grab when you need to fidget. It isn’t any louder than the tangle jr classics, just some clicks when the links hit each other. The only difference is that it’s upscaled.

For Aussies wanting the Tangle Jumbo, there’s a listing available at Sister Sensory for $15 AUD, but they’re wanting another $15 AUD for shipping within Australia. (Australia Post is bad, but I don’t think they’re quite that bad for one Tangle, even with registering and tracking.)

It would actually be cheaper for Aussies to pay $22.64 AUD with free shipping from this blue Tangle Jumbo ebay listing in the US. Which may be a better option for US folks as well...
