What Happened to Jikage?
Nearly 4 years ago, a dear cousin of mine introduced me to the wonder that is Jikage's 1827 fanfictions. She's a fanfiction author who, according to her Fanfiction.net profile, started way back in 2009. Jikage has been such a huge influence to me. She's one of the main reasons as to why I fell in love with 1827. She was one of the people who made me love fanfiction. I read her stories and I was sucked into the world she made and the words she wrote. She gave meaning to me reading fanfiction. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels this way about her. Jikage is such a wonderful author and not knowing what happened to her after all these years leaves a hole inside my heart. Back when I was reading her stories (2013), there was still some sort of hope that she would come back from her hiatus/break. She did it once, and my cousin was pretty sure she would come back again. Skip to 2015, and my cousin and I were starting to lose hope that she'll ever come back. We started to look for her in the internet. By that time, her tumblr account was already deleted. The only traces left of her was her deviantart, fanfiction.net, and ao3 accounts. It's been 2 years since then and my cousin and I still can't help but ask what happened to her. We honestly don't know if we missed an announcement of hers or something. Or we were just not there when she said goodbye. But it still leaves the question of what happened to her. Did something happen to her? Is she alright? So if anyone out there happens to know something, drop by and hit me a reply. Any closure is better than no closure at all. To Jikage, if you ever read this, I'd like to say I'm sorry if I seem so nosy. But I would just like to thank you so so so much for all these years that you have fueled my fanfiction life. You always left your readers awestruck with every chapter you wrote that we read. Your readers miss you and we all wish that you're fine and that you're still there and that you're living your life to the fullest. Thank you so much for everything.
