May I have some additional descriptors for the lovable ba- your buggos :]
(Them buggos frfr <3 : Elnren, Shrim, Zag, Tento, Zimmlerken, Venx, Grash)
that is-- if you have the time ^^
So a bit of a disclaimer, at first when I wrote this story and their descriptors, I in fact did not think my boggies would be getting any sort of art or anything. Probably the biggest honor I've ever received in my writing hobby, but I've unfortunately left their designs woefully under-developed. So, I will do my best to describe them to what I imagine and what I've discussed in previous collabs!
Elnren - A lightly tanned brown cricket, but his appearance is far more presentable and formal than his bandit friends. As Grash's main scout, he is equipped with a nice baggie of goods, but the most precious thing being his binoculars. You can have it concealed in a bag, but it is quite bulky. His cape is well-kept and he has little scarring on his body. You can include goggles if you'd like, but his main thing is he is very disciplined and can be professional...most of the time. Carries a short sword, but rarely used.
Shrim - The dragonfly buddy! His design is close to the traditional garb of his fellow species. The only thing different that can make him stand out is his hood being too big XD. He likes a big hood, it makes his head feel cozy, but sometimes it droops over his eyes. In combat, he would tighten it, but that doesn't mean it sometimes goes loose and it looks like a toddler flying around stealing things in his parent's wardrobe. He has throwing needles!
Zag - The hardheaded, but funny enough, the most reasonable when it comes to the mischievous nature of the Asto/Isau super duper mission of love. Which means, even though he is reckless in a fight, he is still smart enough to figure out when a bad idea is truly bad. He tries to control Elnren's gung ho nature when it comes to the boss' wishes, but he still is there nonetheless if he can't convince him. His appearance is similar to the traditional cricket garb, but his apparel is far more torn and unkempt. He likes to keep his hood off if possible, it just pushes on his antennae too much. He uses longer than normal needles to slash his foes.
Tento - The bappy. He's a ladybug and is incredibly caring and innocent. Tries to act strong in front of his buds, but def cries in a corner when it gets too stressful. He still has a hood and cape like the other ladybugs, but he has a satchel of health items for his friends. Another thing you can add, on long expeditions, he carries a HUGE backpack of goods as he tries to be the supplybug. He is NOT a fighter. Imagine like a death stranding backpack lol. He's quite slim too in comparison to his species, but not like a stick. No weapon, unless his crying causes E M O T I O N A L D A M A G E.
Zimmlerken - The same species as Maki, but just more of an stick in the ***. Like way more. He has twin daggers and wrapped bandages around his arms. He wears a small robe like Maki but doesn't have the leg garb part that extend out to cover his legs. Instead, its more like a cloak that end where the knees would be. The color is like a dark beige or anything brown (most colors will be brown for camo in the sand.) Still wears a hood too, maybe can be like orange!
Venx: The bulkiest cricket out of all of them. They call him muscles for a reason. (they really, really don't) Direct, brute, but a charmer with his aloof nature when he's with his buds. He looks downright intimidating though, his eyes are far more serious and he looks like he's always bound to rush through a brickwall. Covered in scars as well, he loves them, but has a bad left knee, which he does not like. He wears a green cape and hood, and even has a berry flask to carry his favorite drink. He carries a large axe that would probly cause quakes if he clashed with Stratos. Spectral and Longeth Dayv have fantastic interpretations of this buggo, highly recommend checking their art out of him!
Grash: Cheeky, compassionate, and loyal. She is a slimmer brown cricket with a large scar across her body (a bit of lore, she received this at the same time Asto lost his arm. It was a bad day.) Other scars decorate her body, but she doesn't mind them. She has a lighter beige cloak but with a maroon colored hood, signifying her command during fights like the other leader's colors. She carries a saber and has arm bandages on her right arm which is her dominant one. Once again, Spectral and Longeth Dayv have some wonderful pieces that might help with your inspiration!
And it goes without saying, they all have belts that signify the ant kingdom's inverted symbol. You are more than welcome to change colors and whatnot if you feel it has a better look, I just really like seeing other people's interpretations lol. Hope this all helps, let me know if there's anything else!
(OH YEAH SPOILER****, small thing. You can add a small scar near the neck area on the three bugs that were attacked early in the fic. And one specific big one on the chest for another from another event wink wink.)
