So I guess the big question is: How is Tanillivan's story going? Well fear not, lovely friends! Throughout this month I have been working on his story as a part of Camp Nano. I'm detailing his journey all the way through Outland, and will include some of my personal headcanons as to what's been going on there since the end of BC. In addition, the story will be flipping back to previous moments in his life. Basically I want to go back through the moments that lead up to his decision to leave, his journey, and the result of this journey. I'm very excited to write this, and with a bit of editing, I shall start posting it for you all to read!
Tarenor found himself in one of the makeshift tents near the Light's Hope chapel. The tent was small and it held only his cot and a desk where he now sat. Two papers laid infront of him, One Addressed to the "Leaders of the Stormfist Clan" and one to Tanillivan Lightspell and Lurlei Emberglory.
He sighed a long weary sigh, finishing both letter's contents before signing them both. When Lyndari's sister told him about Merchant's Bay's intentions, and if they intend to, Stormfist might be planning something as well. He knew this could not wait much longer. If Liniadel was to go free. There had to be another way. One that did not end in the dismantling or the puppeteering of the Highguard. And attempting to break her out would damn all those under him.
Tare poured wax over both letters and stamped the seal of the Double Headed Phoenix. I pray they agree.
Tare leaned back in the wooden chair and stretched his back. Today had been long, first going over the records of the Highguard, then some reported asked him about the incident. Finally came the move.
The entirety of the Highguard had moved out of Eversong once again in 3 months. No grand plan to stop weapons of mass destruction. No march of War on alliance. but to hide. Hide and run. Their standing orders was not to return to Silvermoon. And to tell no one of our location. But it would not last forever.
He sighed again and looked at the comfy cot, after a whole day of yelling and headache. it seemed almost as comforting to him, as Zalaena had been today, and how he has missed her.. But it had to wait. All personal things had to wait. He was in command and the lives of those under him mattered over all.
Soon, All three will hopefully gather. And they can think of a way to end this. Once and for all.... Hopefully.
You know I meant pervy! But that's ok, now I'll just assume he gets all hot and bothered over paperwork. Mmm yes, ink and parchment it feels so good~
You know it bby. ;P
Tan’s actually a very vanilla guy, so most of that stuff is rather boring. Though he probably has re-imagined some of his favorite scenes from the trashy romance novels he reads…Just once or twice.
what does Tan think about when he's 'alone'? *vigorous eyebrow wiggling*
Oh deer! If you’re talking in the pervy sense, then definitely Bel.
But generally, Tanillivan tries to keep himself constantly distracted when he’s alone. He had his transcription work, the various papers he has to deal with for the Highguard, favorite books he likes to revisit, ect ect. If he genuinely had some alone time where he didn’t have any responsibilities, I don’t think he’d know what to do with himself.
Trying to describe a Shivarra's actions are annoying, but it must be annoying to try and do anything. How do you manage having six arms???
But at least I'm writing now. Last night's roleplay gave me an idea for a story I was working on. Turns out this is going to be longer than I thought. but this is a good thing.
Current project: Taiz and Urukal have a little chat out in the Barrens.
Putting it under a readmore so you don't see this huge block of text.
TL;DR awesome roleplay happened last night and things are moving again and I'm excited as hell!
Taiz came to bar night and immediately started shit with Alkkal, who immediately punched her, choked her, and then they went out and dueled. Of course, because I only have three pieces of pvp gear, Taiz got her ass kicked. She THEN decided to pick a fight with an orc from Dragonmaw Vanguard, immediately assuming that he's a Garrosh supporter. More bitching ensues, and she eventually gets so fed up with it that she vanishes to go drink some more. Finally, Tyll talks with her in her private spot, and actually acknowledges her bragging, which makes her wary, but slightly less hateful of him. Even though he's still a dirty elfie. =D
So now, Taiz was hurt by Alkkal AGAIN, and Juzmik did nothing. He climbed ontop of her in the middle of the bar and started choking her. Again, Juzmik simply gave him the thumbs up. She's completely and totally PISSED OFF now, and she's looking for a chance at some sweet revenge.
ON THE FLIPSIDE, Tanillivan's in a bit of a tricky spot. Vlad, the death knight who attacked him and (in his mind) stole the Light from him returned. Thing is, Vlad wasn't there JUST to mess with him (though that certainly was on the agenda). He was truly there to find help for Lurlei, who was in a hot mess with Ahri. Out of fear of what Vlad would do to him, Tan agreed, and secured a few days in SMC. He tried getting the info out of Ahri herself, who completely denied everything. Running out of patience, Vlad gave him one night to try and find Lurlei.
The thing is, Tan's a good city boy, but he doesn't really know anything about the dark underbelly of Silvermoon. When he failed to deliver Lurlei, Vlad came in and decided to show him around the "real" SMC. Knowing about all the dark secrets in the city certainly came as a shock to Tan. They found Lurlei, and Tan came up with a potential solution to the problem.
What's going to happen next? Tan and Vlad are going to confront Ahri. Taiz is going to start planning her revenge. IT'S EXCITING!!!
It's strange. When I first started playing Tan, I didn't have anything really planned out or thought for him. I had a concept, and the rest of the character has been slowly evolving from it. There are so many stories I want to write, but until I get this fully fleshed out, here are the points I've figured out so far. Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcomed.
Grew up in a pretty middle class income bracket. His mother's herb shop wasn't particularly well known, but it was enough to get by.
Training to be a scribe and a priest in between assisting his mother with the shop.
Did not participate in the First or Second War, and didn't really leave Silvermoon growing up.
AND THEN THE THIRD WAR HAPPENED.
The biggest point here is that he was suddenly thrust into battle with no previous experience or real military training. Basically it was like taking a nurses from a hospital and suddenly throwing them into an ambush.
When fight or flight kicked in, flight one. He ran away from that battle, fleeing for his life. This decision is the biggest regrets he has. He didn't stop to try and help innocent people escape. He didn't heal a single person. Overwhelmed by it all, he got the fuck out as fast as he could.
From Third War through Vanilla, Tan was trying to help retake Quel'thalas as best he could. Despite being shaken up, he joined up with a small group of elves that worked to try and rally other survivors.
What he did in BC and Wrath are honestly my biggest sticking points. I know that when M'uru was brought in, he definitely choose to use it to bring back his Light. Other than that, though, I'm still very unsure of what to put in for these years.
That's all I got so far. I'll probably add more when I think of more.
