New Proposal to the CBA

The combine itself isn’t the problem to me. I actually think this a good and useful tool that can help teams see who’s truly pro-ready, who needs development and if the the team can offer that, and how they can fit in their system. The W did it for this yr draft, not officially. The real issue tho is the timing and the penalty attached to it. Expecting rookies coming off the most demanding stretch of their college careers with travels, conference play, the NCAA tourney to show up to a mandatory combine isn’t realistic and tying a financial punishment to it crosses into exploitation. No other league punishes players financially for missing a pre-draft event especially for a scheduling problem they didn’t create.

The league wants a possible March start, unpaid for housing and a combine squeezed into an already impossible window. Meanwhile, rookies already enter the W with lower pay, smaller rosters, and un guaranteed contracts. Losing money before they even sign because of issues they can’t control only makes their start in the league harder, hurts development, and puts their health at risk.

How is this going to make anyone want to declare and play in the league. Mind you they are trying to squeeze all this into a small window because they don’t want to compete with other leagues. Genuinely WTF!!!

Niya was the highest scorer last season😮‍💨 i think she’s smart for transferring to SC. We might have a SC vs UConn rematch next year and that’ll be hella fun to watch🙂‍↕️ She’s been hustling before the season too joing KP’s dawg camp and unrivaled too. We’re up for a good season folks😌

Idk much about awa but she’s only an 06 and has a lot of time for her to develop in spain. I can’t really speak much on her sorry idk much😭

Still mad af over FSU collapse in the second half. People had them upsetting LSU but I didn't lol. I've previewed enough games to know they're up and down.

Latson (and Timpson) is literally the only consistent player but she can't carry it all when it comes to the tournament. The only way they were going to win or at least keep int close was dependent on if everyone showed tf up. That didn't happen. Once she sat down for some rest it was a wrap. It's easy to scout FSU because you shut down Latson then you win.

I'm a FSU fan but I want her to transfer. She said she was going to stay at FSU for her senior year but she's done all she can for the garnet and goal. And with them losing Timpson and the fact they really can't recruit, it's time to move on. Unless Brooke (coach) makes some serious personnel changes I don't see it for them. They'll have a good season, like always, but will stall in the tournament. I'm just happy they got out the first round this time. I want to see her under another system and at a better program.
