Eliza was making her way through the crowd when a familiar brunette caught her eye and she had to do a doubletake. Even without the mask, Tanner was nearly unrecognizable from the last time Eliza had seen her in person. She felt a pang of guilt that she hadn't checked in with her in months - too lost in her own shit to be there for the people she cared for. But she quickly pushed that down and moved forward.
Drink in hand, Eliza sidled right up next to her friend, speaking as if she'd been standing there the whole time. "You know, I thought you were batshit insane when you told me you were moving to Kismet Harbor." She tilted her head, making a show of dragging her gaze along Tanner's sultry dress and back up to her eyes. "But looking at you now, small town life is really agreeing with you. The poor suckers in this town didn't stand a chance, did they?"
