About: Writing about Tantra
So what do people want to know?
There’s a billion pages about solving premature ejaculation, and lasting longer in bed, and we ALL know sex isn’t the only thing about tantra that is TANTRA!
I’ve been blessed to have the teachers I’ve had, and been privy to the things I’ve borne witness to, as we all are in our semi-charmed kind of lives (babay, babay).
I feel so strongly about how misled we’ve been in our current states about sex and how, sadly, porn has been at the forefront of teaching people well, bad sex.
And how only a small section of the population really knows the power they harness with sex energy...how liberating and how freeing it is really.
Perhaps it’s the old courtesan in me in her robes (and fishnets) on a soapbox screeching out to an empty theatre.
All this information is out there for you anyways. Yeah, there’s a lot of misinformation but the best advice anyone has ever given to me is trust no one, not even [what you count as] ‘yourself’. You’ll know what your true essence is soon enough. 🐍
All we have is our instincts, our innate abilities, to discern the truth.
My favourite teacher of all my teachers runs a bookshop. He would be the first person to tell you, none of those books will teach you anything if you don’t put the work in. He teaches Vipassana meditation -- that’s some hard shit. Period! I love it though. It’s beautiful and teaches us there’s nothing real really. Our thoughts and emotions, for one, are just those, and nothing more (honestly! Look it up if you don’t believe me. Or better yet, just do it!)
My friend thinks I should become a comedian -- she’s rather psychic and enjoys my dry wit -- and the very fact that I laugh at my own jokes. She could be onto something...
Anyways,
Tantra == shamanism == experiential
You can’t read about this stuff, not do the work for yourself and then expect some sort of magic ✨
Your own magic can’t be captured in imagery -- you can use many things (like Pinterest) for inspiration in the darkest of times but that’s just a portway to your soul. That’s all that should be. A key into a deeper, darker unknown (ooooOOOooooooOOOoOOo!)
Do the work: Journey, find your rituals, find your magic, your wisdom, your power.
Oh, and it’ll take forever,
And you’ll never be done, not even when you die (and you’ll know it!)
But boy, it’ll be worth it.
And trust no one, you don’t need to. You’ll find your power animals faster, for one. You have all that you need inside, for two because we’re all complete. And nothing is EVER as it seems, for three. ❤️
