Zettour you madman, this episode was insane. Zettour was the coolest guy on screen every time somehow, even with Mikel’s crazy fighting formation absolutely blowing me away

I love Why? RED induction
Thank you to Yimosey for the translation, I'll leave a link to their video below so please give them all the love and credit they deserve! (btw i didn't before I shared this video here so seriously, give them all the love and support they deserve for this translation)
Let me preference this by saying that I have little to no personal experience and relation to war. My Grandpa fought in WW2 but that's as far as it goes. I truly have no idea of how deep and complex it can be other than what I know from personal research, nor do I love it. In fact I despise war and everything it has done to humanity. I am a introverted nerd blessed with parents who loved me enough to never have me within a 100ft pole of any thing relating to it. So what right do I have to talk about it within this song? None. But I love this anime so I shall continue! Tanya is just too great of a character to ignore! Got it? Good.
I think Why? RED induction can be viewed as how modern people view past wars. Think about it like this, how often do you meet a person that genuinely wants to fight in a war? How often wants to put their lives on the line for their country? I've met people who fight for their families, their homes, their lives, for a chance of a future, but barely ever for a countries ideals and beliefs itself. Because most people aren't like that. Everyone has "selfish" desires to fight and do it with their fellow country man to achieve each of their goals. If not that then they aren't given a choice. But will those reasons hold up when it's time to fight? Well that's when we get to the lyrics. 0:23-0:55 "Burst in the flames of war, your morals, treading on the ashes A rhapsody of ideology and pride, beginning to go mad The hearts that sings for justice, hope, ideals, and friendship" I see this part of the song saying that the reasons behind a war, why they start, and why soldiers fight get lost as time goes on. People have their morals, their beliefs, but when they are put up to the test than they quickly lose all meaning. "All the fire, all the burning Lost it all, but you'll call it "making it" Exposing without ever tiring of it. Instinct, desire, tyranny" Not only that, but think about everything that will be lost, what you will lose. Everything you once believed will be tread into ashes as you continue to falsely hold onto what little humanity you had. The reason why you fight and what your fighting for gets buried by those above you for selfish reasons. I'll leave it here for now, if I get the energy I might talk about the ed too since it's a flip of pov from how an outsider views Tanya and her ideals of war vs now when we get too see her true feelings and how much she truly hates it. Buuuutttt that's for another day and my cramps hurt! (Prey for me ya'll) That's all for now bye bye~!
