" despite saying that, the way her hands paused their work at organizing the stacks of PAPERWORK spoke how his goal of being a distraction might work as he intended, much to her dismay. gloved hand plucked a folder from the pile, lifting it for him to see the cover, though she didn't think he'd pay much attention to that, either.

                " flattery wouldn't net you a day off, unfortunately. we have a case, and you're coming with me. " another pause, though this time, there was a small smile curving her lips. a playful, almost knowing one.

                " you wouldn't leave me to handle it all by myself, would you now ? "

     HMM...HESHIKIRI HAD BEEN staring really intently at him for a good while now. Normally, most would try to be...well...subtle, but no, not this man. Subtlety was probably lost to him somewhere along the way. Still, this was not to say that Ozymandias was displeased with the attention. Was the sun not meant to be idolized and adored? To be looked upon as the greatest of the celestial bodies? ❝I can tell you hand picked the best of the bunch. Such dedication is worthy of my praise.❞ He reached over, plucking a grape from that ornate bowl and slipping into his mouth to chew slowly. These grapes really were perfect. They were the kind that an artist would gladly use for their painting -- each one the very image of absolute symmetry. How fitting for a king like himself. ❝You know, Heshikiri, you could sit and join me if you desire. There is an empty seat right beside me.❞ He was used to his retainers and servants standing, of course, but the other was famous in their own right considering who their previous Master had been. 

     They may sit with him.

─「エデン」─  the boop made the TRAILBLAZER squint slightly. a pause. a silent stare at the hand before she parted her mouth and chomped down on the finger that booped her nose. gently, of course. nothing too hard. it wasn't like she was trying to bite it off, but still a chomp !
