That’s awesome! Welcome aboard the tfp train friend! I’m going to give you a few different answers, because unfortunately there isn’t another series to immediately dive into [although there is Predacons Rising- the post s3 TFP movie, but I’m assuming you’ve already seen that]. Hopefully one of these will suit your transformers taste.
For a direct sequel, at the moment we’re waiting on Transformers: Robots in Disguise, which will be starting next year and following the adventures of Bumblebee coming back to Earth with a bunch of rookie Autobots who have to learn to work as a team. It’s going to be aimed at a younger audience than tfp- somewhere between tfp and rescue bots.
In the mean time, if you’re looking for an ongoing transformers series I suggest diving into the IDW comics. They’ve currently divided the cast between two ongoing comic series: Robots In Disguise and More Than Meets The Eye, following the events after the end of the Autobot/Decepticon war, and MTMTE especially is a character driven, quirky, at often times gut-wrenching series. You can buy them on Comixology, and I believe they were having a sale on these comics recently [though I don’t know if at time of writing it’s still on].
If you’re looking for something cute and character driven Transformers: Rescue Bots is adorable and has a lot of adult bonuses. [EDIT: Totally forgot to mention that Rescue Bots takes place in the same universe as TFP so occasionally Optimus and Bumblebee bridge across to help hem out. It's that adorable.]
Or, if you’re willing to dive back into the archive for something with great writing I highly recommend Beast Wars- if you can look past the 1996 CGI you’ll find an awesome cast and great writing there.
I’ve also heard great things about the character writing in Transformers: Animated, but since I haven’t seen it yet myself I can only offer a secondhand recommendation.
