Fashion Week Series

Even though I don’t plan what I’m going to write before writing it, I am anticipating the Fashion Week series running through Sunday, for anyone who is interested. Obviously, that is subject to change, because I hadn’t planned on it lasting that long, but I also didn’t plan for them to say I love you.... so who knows. Maybe they’ll never leave New York? 🤷

I just figured I’d give those of you who were following it at least some idea. I will also be continuing with the @choicesfebruarychallenge prompts through the series.

I just finished writing tomorrow's (Date Night) which set up Thursday (Park) and Friday (Valentine’s Day). I anticipate also writing Saturday (Heartbreak) and Sunday (Snow) as being in NYC as well. (Ugh, heartbreak, I don’t wanna write it  😢)

B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?

Honestly, not really? I would say the stories that have the most of my personal thoughts/experiences in it are the movie night shorts (and the Psych inspired one). I typically choose movies that I enjoy and then either say what I love about them, but I also like critiquing them as well. 

C: What member do you identify with most?

Alex. I think Alex is a mix of who I am and who I want to be. She’s incredible and strong and fierce and everything I wish I was. She’s become my role model for sure. But she’s kind and loyal and creative, which I think I am. She helps me get through every day. If I can strive to be a little more like her, I feel like everything will be okay. 

F: Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

Ohhh. I feel like dialogue is my weakness. I’m very introverted so I feel like I’m so awkward talking normally, that I’m surprised I can come up with dialogue that works at all lol. 

I like my This is the End fic, because if it was the chronological end to my stories, I would be happy with it. 

“We don’t need a happily ever after,” Thomas admitted. “We just need each other–for better or worse.”

“Together,” Alex agreed, tears forming in her eyes.

“Together,” Thomas reassured her, cradling her face. He wiped a tear with his thumb before it could travel very far. Thomas’s lips brushed Alex’s, “Always.”

I also love my Baby Hunt Scarf drabble with Thomas and Felicity. I love how tender he is with his children, especially his daughter. I feel like Thomas changed the day his children were born and they became his world. 

“Daddy, daddy,” Felicity cheered. She threw her arms around him as he walked in the door.

Thomas lifted his daughter up into his arms. “What do we have here?” He questioned examining her new scarf.

“I’m a kitty,” Felicity giggled. She lifted the hood with cat ears that was attached to the back of the scarf, then she slipped her hands into the paws at each end. “See?”

Thomas’s heart overflowed with more joy than he ever thought possible every time his daughter laughed. It was the most precious sound in the world.

Felicity pretended to lick her paws. “Meow!”

“What a good kitty,” Thomas patted her on the head. “But have you seen my Felicity? She seems to have wandered off.”

“Here I am,” Felicity giggled again as she pushed off her hood. She wrapped her arms around his neck. “I love you, daddy."

"I love you too, more than you will ever know,” Thomas kissed her forehead.

G: Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

Definitely out of order! 

In the past (not fanfic) I always wrote stories sequentially. I would plot points along an extended timeline, but could never bring myself to tell something out of order. But I found that if I got writer’s block, the whole project would stop. 

I NEVER imagined that I could keep the pace I am writing for Thomas and Alex. Especially not with a full-time job and real-life commitments. I think the only reason for it is that I’ve been writing out of order. If I hit writer’s block with one idea, I have 5 others in progress to pick up. 

I’m loving trying to write something for each of the daily challenges too. This has pushed me to be creative and stretch my imagination. It’s been really rewarding. Writing these stories has become my therapy. <3

Thomas Hunt is hot as hell and he’s my favorite LI in Red Carpet Diaries. I was wondering who have you chosen as your face claim for him?

Honestly, I don’t have one. I’ve seen other people suggest actors and models but, I’ve never seen anyone who I felt like ‘that’s it, that’s Thomas Hunt’. 

Thomas Hunt, to me, has taken on this ethereal quality that I haven’t been able to pin down to any one particular person, even if just for his looks. He has become this idea that exists in my mind as his own entity making it harder to contextualize in a real-world setting.

If I find someone who I feel represents Thomas to me, you can be sure I will post about it :)
