Hey, do you know how Taraceldrawsvld's work on the Lira fan art is coming? I saw the post and I'm super excited.

yes!!  @taraceldrawsvld has been sending me how the WIP and character concept art is coming every few weeks or so and they’ve really gone above and beyond in every way. you guys will even get to see lira’s blade, most likely! all the concept art has been so fun and i would love to share more of the work behind the scenes they’ve done, partially to show just how MUCH work tara has done but also bc all the art is So Good and i really couldn’t be luckier. i promise, it is going to be HELLA worth the wait! great things take time after all ;)

Can I just tell you how much I loved the last two chapters?? Hunk at the base with Shiro? Thank you! Lance being a supportive person since day 01? ( His talk with Allura was so heartwarming and funny) Sign me up for it! Keith's actions having massive consequences? Finally! Subtle Shallura moments? Yess! I really look forward to see who the younger blade is as well as what Kolivan knows about Keith's heritage and Altean royal family's involvement.

thank you lovely! i let this ask stay in my inbox a little too long (as i know this was pre-ch11/12) bc i just wanted to keep rereading it! this is the feedback i live for and thank you so much for leaving it, it really keeps me motivated! as i’ve said before, TSBS really is the gift that just keeps on giving :3

I read the fix-it-fic all over again, and I must tell you I forgot how good it was. Shallura's private leader talks is my best friend now. I'm also very happy that Shiro has family now, esp after s7 events. Will we get additional bonding moments between Shiro-Hunk, as well as Allura-Pidge and Allura-Hunk? That would be a breath of fresh air as well! I look forward to the following chapters, really can't wait!!

I know this was from a little while ago but I kept it in my inbox for so long to reread because I loved and appreciated this message so much (I still do)! And yes, Shiro’s family is very important, in both his blood and found family. As for Shiro and Hunk, they get a few moments in chapters 9 and 10 but I definitely want to explore their bond more. 

I’ve always seen Hunk as an unofficial ‘third’ in charge behind Allura and Shiro as he’s fairly level headed when it matters, works well with everyone else, and doesn’t get distracted necessarily the same way the others do (Pidge with tech, Keith and Lance by each other lol) even if he sometimes does, so it always fun for me when I get to explore that and we’ll definitely see more of that in the future. (I definitely want to explore more of Hunk and Allura’s bond, and I may not have a lot of time for it in the rest of s2 but in my version of s3 for sure!)

One of my lesser voiced gripes about VLD is the lack of interaction between Pidge and Allura, or very meaningful bonds between women of any kind. The only important emotional bond we see between any female characters is the Galra Generals, which then got narrowed down to Ezor and Zethrid who were then killed off. 

So while Pidge isn’t a girl per se, as they’re nonbinary, Pidge and Allura have the capacity to have more in common than they thought, and to really learn and grow from each other. That, and almost all OCs introduced going forward will all be women, and they’re going to have meaningful relationships with each other. I’d also like to bring an OC like the owl alien, Elyta, back and have her bond with Allura just bc more aliens VS humans in culture and shenanigans? Endlessly entertaining for me.

'Still Together'

When ambushed by the Galra Empire terrorist group, Commander Takashi Shirogane and Major Allura Brooks got cut off from their team and starting to run out of ammo while getting over run. Shiro cheered Allura up and getting her to think that it'll be easy as they're last mission before having Keith, Lance, Pidge or Hunk.

Once they were certain they were in the clear, Shiro and Allura ran up to a large slab of cemented wall, with portions of it missing like it was bit off. Looked as if the terrorists blew up some of the houses. They were both desperate for a breather, they could feel their chest tightening even harder. So far, the pursuing attackers haven’t caught up to them but it was only a matter of time before the duo can hold them off.

“What’s your ammo count?” She asked as she checked her pistol’s magazine.

Shiro checked his pouches which was empty. “Down on my last mag. You?”

“I’m on my sidearm now.”

Allura looked around. Practically everywhere was a bad opening. None of the walls could provide cover since they all look like they were blown up.

“We’re in a bad spot, we gotta get outta this shithole now.” She said, wiping her smudged face with her exposed forearm.

“Yeah but we have no idea where the others are and the comms are down.”

He had a point. They were on the verge of being screwed to a whole a new level. After a moment of silence, Shiro started chuckling. Allura looked at him in confusion.

“What the hell’s so funny?”

“Still remember that one time you and me were in a situation as tight as this?” Shiro asked.

Allura paused for a moment before answering. “That was in Prague and the comms were perfectly fine.”

“But we survived anyway. Those guys were well trained back then. If we can take those guys down, then we can do the same to them.”

“That’s bollocks and you know it.”
