taraconservation
Hey so I am going to be a debbie downer for a moment but Baumgartner's approach towards painting conservation (at least as shown in his videos) is wildly misleading, and is likely doing some not inconsiderable damage to the painting surfaces.
Thanks for the heads-up! I had a google around and while some of the criticisms I’ve seen have been dealt with by him in videos and some I’m not qualified to know who’s correct on, his hostility towards other conservators certainly doesn’t reflect well on him or his technique. I’ve been watching him less lately because man he puts a lot of ads in, and also he does a lot less cleaning footage which is the part I always liked watching anyway, so stepping back entirely shouldn’t be difficult.

Magic erasers really are amazing.
Tell you what they work a lot better when you get them wet. :D
I thought they were a scam for years because my mother would send them to me in care packages WITHOUT THE PACKAGING just in a ziplock bag, so I didn’t know you were supposed to get them wet. You don’t get normal erasers wet before using them, so....

the cat-ball index suggests it's getting cold there
Yeah, in the mornings (as when I took that photo) it’s cold in the condo because I turn the heat down at night, and they do tend to be quite Cat Ball early in the morning. I know they can’t be that uncomfortable because they’re well aware they could sleep under the blankets if they wanted, but they definitely appreciate when the heat kicks on. :D
