It's been a while since I posted anything in this page. So allow me to start a re-run of my days in the hobby by introducing my latest acquisition, a Pterinopelma Sazimai sling aka Brazilian blue, aka Sazima's tarantula.

I housed it in a flat container where I used to keep my late Greenbottle blue. So far hasn't eaten anything. I've tried offering some mealworm but it doesn't seem ready to eat, so I'll wait a bit to get acclimated and I'll keep this diary updated. Till then..

i’d love to update this blog more, and i will do soon. but between losing two tarantulas for unknown reasons and also moving houses which involved disassembling most of my enclosures and lots of chaos all around, i never take photos... anyway. thx for still following this mess,

also, it’s that time of the year where it’s getting properly hot and everyone’s metabolism is up and everyone’s eating shedding/molting and pooping like a champion and tbh i’m just s t r e s s e d- anyway, my b hamorii juvenile (Nymphadora) just flipped over, my adult female b. sabulosum (Pomona) has already made her molting web carpet thingy but hasn’t flipped yet... i’m so stressed. also, oono the dangerous python noodle is in blue. Everyone in this household is getting rid of their skin except me.

spooder update

so i’m back from the annual expo and

we got new babies

i’m so excited

those are the first additions to my spider squad in over a year

i got:

0.0.2 Poecilotheria subfusca “lowland” (1st instar) 0.0.1 Avicularia metallica (2nd instar)

i do think i did a decent job with the terra scaping and all that. anyway, dolores and sybill have moved and are on the same shelf as bellatrix now.

today i rehoused a 8cm pokie with no problem

then i rehoused dolores. she tried to bite me twice, kicked half of her bum hair at me and then managed to literally escape. i cought her under my coffee table within 10 seconds but holy shit. calm the fuck down dolores

at least i’m not the one with a bold spider butt from angry ass hair kicking so who’s laughing now

in other news: i finally got a new terrarium for Dolores. since i’m going to rehouse her tomorrow (hopefully) we might actually get to see new pictures of the grumpiest of spooders in this household

i’ll actually try to put a live plant into the terrarium for the first time ever so spider stuff shopping day tomorrow

Akdjdjajaka my p regalis sling was all scrunched up and it looked like itbwas in a death curl when i checked on it after coming home from work and i got so scared i flat out started crying

The sling is fine it was just chilling

I have now successfully stopped crying
