External Game Design Considerations
Target Market
Who you are making the game for and whether it has value to your target market.
So how do you determine your target market?
Demographics - (Data that can be proven) eg. Gender, Age, Occupation, Education Level, Location, Salary, Income, Relationship Status, Number of Kids...
Psycho-graphics - eg. Likes, Dislikes, Interests, Hobbies, Activities, Personality...(knowing what music and TV shows they enjoy can be very helpful)
Psychology of Consumer Behaviour
This can be based on the demographics and psycho-graphics of the consumers.
Culture Symbolisms/Beliefs & Taboos
This can include religion. Things like colour symbolism and meanings behind hand gestures are examples of things to take note of.
Economic
Some places may have bad network or do not have the consoles to play certain games. You should know what is available/not available in different parts of the world.
Technology
(Can be related to Economics) Some countries have lower level or different technology.
