Here’s a fun little piece of process... This was my very first test at working my pencils from @kevineastmantmnt ‘s layouts. After this step I would print out my digital pencils and then “ink” the finals on real paper using the light box in my desk. I put “ink” in quotes, because if you’re new around here, I actually do all my final comic pages in mechanical pencil. No inks. So my pencils are actually digital, and my inks are actually pencil. I’m weird. You’re weird. It’s another milestone day! I just received an advance copy of my first full TMNT story, TARGET R, by Kevin Eastman and myself with colors by Tomi Varga. - Holy moly, it’s beautiful. As a lifelong turtle fan it’s obviously an incredible thing to be making books with Kevin at all, but to have drawn a Raph and Casey 46 page action packed event book like this is an absolute dream come true and an honor. It’s been 4 years since I got my first TMNT cover and now I’m finally on the insides. I’m hoping there’s more to come and you all love the book as much as we do.
