For aslong as Jabari could remember, he possibly had more injuries then half the soldiers here combined and still live to fight another day. Though his latest ones weren't fatal, it still hurt like a bitch everytime he took a heavy breath. Having been stabbed in the stomach by one of the hunters and not realizing it til after the fight was over, his adrenaline drained and he nearly passed out from blood loss.
His injury was the least of his concerns at the moment. All his thoughts went to one thing, Kali. As much as he would never admit it, he was worried about her. Even if she was walking around fine and well like nothing wasn't wrong. He saw what happened to her face, he witnessed it and all he could think was how he could have stopped it if he moved a bit faster. And that wasnt going to go away until he confronted it head on.
Jabari waited til night time, when most of the kamp was settled in for the night. Mainly when Baraka was settled in for the night because there was no way he could get to Kali when he was awake. The walk from his hut to hers was a short one. He was inwardly glad to see the light shining from beneath her door which meant she was still awake. Or she could be sleep and just forgot to blow out the candle. Not that it mattered, he still knocked on her door anyway.
