Ranni: Ah, Blaidd, you return. And I felt that my brother hath been slain. You and your cohorts were able to gather enough strength to fight him then?
Blaidd: Well actually, Mistress... In the end, that tarnished of yours just about did the job on her own.
*A brief pause, then Ranni responds*
Ranni: What... exactly dost thou mean, Blaidd? Explain thyself.
Blaidd: I mean just what I said, Mistress. The tarnished showed up to the festival last after the rest of us had all gathered, then insisted she handle the fight by herself. And... I mean I can't exactly say she finished it quickly. Her first set of tries, she was rebuffed each time, broken, bloodied, but... never quite dead.
Ranni: And none of you thought to stop her?! Or help in any way?!
Blaidd: Well... to be perfect honest, Miss... the rest of us were so... taken aback when she landed back at our feet in one piece, time after time. She seems damn near indestructible, that one. And determined! She just kept getting back up and rushing back in. Said she was having fun. I imagine I wasn't the only one there who, at a certain point, was just watching out of sheer curiosity.
Ranni: Blaidd. Are you telling me the tarnished hath been fighting Radahn for the last moon straight?
Blaidd: Well no, Mistress. After ten or so runs at him, the tarnished told me to wait there and ran off somewhere. Well, the rest of us weren't exactly any more prepared to fight Radahn than we were before she got there, so wait we did.
Ranni: Unbelievable...
Blaidd: And sure enough, she came back a week or so later, this time with company in tow.
Ranni: Ah, I see. She saw the strength of the Starscourge firsthand and went to find more help. Perhaps she can be sensible after all.
Blaidd: Yes, that's exactly what we all thought as well, right up until we realized her companions were simply standing there watching the tarnished rush up the hill again, just as we were.
Ranni: What.
Blaidd: I know, Miss! I questioned one of her friends myself, another tarnished, who seemed occupied simply with encouraging yours. "Not to worry," she said, "Faron can handle this. She's exceptionally skilled." I thought, "Sure, that's one word for it I suppose..." Actually, now that I think on that other tarnished... Something felt strange about her... The armor she wore seemed quite familiar... Smelled of rot...
Ranni: Oh for- Thou'rt getting distracted, Blaidd. Enough about this other tarnished, what of Faron?
*Footsteps quicken up the stairs on the rise and Faron enters as though on queue, beaming and blood-covered*
Faron: Goooood morning sleepyhead! I brought you the knife you wanted! At least I'm pretty sure it's the right one... I hope so anyway, it took a lot of work to get it!
Ranni: Yes, so Blaidd hath told- What did thou just call me?
Blaidd: I'll just be going then shall I Miss?
