Do you want to try the first Scottish Absinthe? In celebration of Tartan Week, come join us for some Scottish Absinthe and Jazz! To start the night off we have Murmichan…the first Scottish Absinthe! Distilled at the Lost Loch Distillery in Royal Deeside, and not yet available in US markets, it is produced “in the traditional manner using natural botanicals for both flavouring and colouring.” We are very lucky to be among the first to taste this unique spirit outside of Scotland! I will be showcasing a short set of songs and poetry in the spirit of the New York Jazz Age. Join us for some Jazz takes on traditional (and less than traditional) Scottish songs, as well as some of Burn's "not for polite society" poetry. There will be burlesque, pipes, and jazz all evening long! Take a break from your Scotch, and come have some pre-ceilidh fun with a little of old New York!
