Captian “Cap” Cortez

Hailing from a mining colony in Izun V, Cap’s mind has always been in the stars. He’s been exploring the uncharted for decades in search of one thing: Riches and lots of them. 

While his ventures have been fairly profitable, his taste for lose women and gambling have become a liability and have left his savings less than stellar. As the years pass Cap is slowly starting to show (and feel!) his age and not many crews are looking for old men. 

Old men make mistakes, old men die.

But Cap is still the King, this old dog is not going to roll over and wait for the end to come. He’s got some fight left in him, and experience on his side.

Someone will see his value, surely!

This is Tessa Iaccara.

Tessa hails from the mining colony on Izun V, a rocky inhospitable planet. With the frequent dust and debris storms causing damage to the colonies structures on a continual basis, the hazardous mining machinery and loaders, as well as the dangerous and unstable elements that they’re stripping from the ground it’s easy to say life on Izun V is harsh.

Strong, resilient and hardworking Tessa is the perfect example of the Fiver spirit and is no stranger to the harsh reality of living in a mining colony. Tessa was born to a single teenage mother; her father blasted off into the stars before he even knew of her existence leaving only a few old photographs to remember him by. She was an apprentice engineer by 15 years old, and now at 37 she’s the one in charge of all the colonies critical systems (Life support, hydroponics, generators etc…). 

Maybe one day she’ll go looking for her dad but for now she’s content keeping her home colony running.

Grunt 2466 could feel the weight of the commander’s disappointment before he got through the doors to his office. It didn't help that Commander 6863 always liked dramatics, and there was nothing more dramatic than a good chair swivel.
