Tasi looked over at the crumpling studio, feeling her heart rate rise as she took a couple of steps closer. She felt the doorframe, the splintering, decayed wood was an odd, yet horrid texture. The teenager made a face as her hand recoiled away, shaking the texture off before rubbing her jeans.
Tasi took a breath, messing with her ponytail full of light brown hair before putting her hand on the doorknob. She winced as the door creaked open, the teenager closing her eyes as she opened the door to the old studio.
“Boo!” The teenager screamed as soon as she heard the other man’s voice, though anger and fear quickly turned to guilt as Tasi turned around to look at the man who was pretty much her dad.
The two locked eyes for a couple moments as Tasi shifted a bit awkwardly. The brown haired teenager looked like she was ready to speak, but was stopped by once she saw her father’s patient smile.
“It’s okay kid, I’m not mad.” Joey looked over at the studio, feeling a bunch of memories rush over him, though he paid them no mind as he looked over at the kid. “I understand what it was like to be a teenager, but we need to get home, it’s pretty late.” Tasi took one last look before walking back home with Joey.
