Manipulate Iteration 03 considers the relationship between the analogue and virtual surfaces through a series of experimental collages. Returning to the original images I placed them into Photoshop and manipulate them to produce new arrangements that would only be possible in a digital format. These virtual transformations created new understanding of a surface as an idea of territory, of sensation. 

The image captured a moment and by singling out these through intervention, new conditions were produced. They became less tactile and more seen as things, objects – floating amidst space and connecting through their disconnection.
